How to know and learn the traditional culture of China?

This is a learning problem, not just a learning problem.

Where is the living water source of China traditional culture and where does it come from? This has been discussed endlessly in academic circles. But in terms of time, the "three generations" of Yao Shunyu that Confucius repeatedly talked about in The Analects of Confucius and the "three generations" of Xia, Shang and Zhou that we talk about today are twice different, and then it is inferred that the Book of Changes was written for Fuxi, which is even older? It will take at least several million years.

What does this mean?

It shows that the book we are reading today is a culture connected with far-reaching ancient times-even the last era. Therefore, on the one hand, China culture is an endless culture with words as the end and form as the carrier; On the other hand, it is also a heart-to-heart culture that has stood the test of time and space.

Everyone can understand the first question. On the other hand, we can see the clue from the exposition of Confucius in some classic works.

For example, this issue was discussed at the beginning of The Analects. Confucius said, "Words without deeds, faithfulness without faithfulness, stealing is not as good as my old Peng". If we look at the meaning of ancient Chinese characters, its meaning should be "succession", which is more appropriate and vivid than the "elaboration" that we modern people understand. Correspondingly, the original meaning of "faith" is "truth". From "truth" to "sincerity", "faith", "faith" and so on. This can be proved by the saying "good words are not beautiful, but good words are not believed" in Tao Te Ching.

Confucius said, "What's the use of studying silently, never getting tired of learning and never getting tired of teaching?" The meaning of this "knowledge" is by no means a simple recognition of memory, but an acceptance that needs to be combined with oneself and since the enlightenment. This can be said from Confucius: "What I don't know has nothing to do with me." Listen more, choose good and follow, see more and know, and know twice. "It can be seen that Confucius still pays more attention to the knowledge gained by the center of gravity, rather than simply learning and memorizing knowledge.

So I think what Confucius means by this passage is that the study of mind and nature has a long history. Its learning method is to try to figure it out in the way of the ancients, and to explain it truthfully in the time and space of the ancients at that time in order to get a little bit. Therefore, with the wisdom of Confucius, we are all so humble in the face of such knowledge (or civilization), let alone ordinary people.

Learning the classics of traditional culture means understanding and learning the civilization of the previous era. The process must be linked with daily life and our own life, and we can gain something through systematic understanding, thinking and feeling.
