Who is the only official female general?

For a long time, there have been many stories about ancient female heroes, such as Mulan, Princess Pingyang, Fan Lihua, Lady Yangmen and Liang Hongyu. But these people are either characters in folk songs, characters in romance novels or not formal generals. In the history of thousands of years in China, the only female general officially listed in the national compilation is actually Qin Liangyu, a female general who was praised by Emperor Chongzhen of the Ming Dynasty as "holding a military emblem as a mandarin duck sleeve".

Born by the Mingxi River in the suburb of Letian Town in the west of Zhongzhou City, Sichuan Province, his father Qin Kui is a housekeeper and has three men and one woman. Liang Yu is the third, his brothers Qin Bangping and Qin Hanbang, and his younger brother Qin Minping. When her father taught Qin Liangyu poetry, calligraphy and painting, he did not forget the Miao tradition, and trained her to dance with guns and sticks, ride horses and shoot arrows at an early age.

Qin Liangyu (1574 ~ 1648), Han nationality, Su Zhenren. Qin Liangyu, a native of Zhongzhou (now Zhongxian, Chongqing) in the Ming Dynasty, was an outstanding female general, strategist and anti-Qing general in the late Ming Dynasty. Qin Liangyu has been in the army for more than 40 years, and has traveled all over the Great Wall, north and south of the Yangtze River, Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and Sichuan Basin. He once led the "white-armed soldiers" to participate in the battles of Pingbo, aiding Liao, leveling luxury, thrift, anti-Qing, rebellion (Zhang) and so on. There is a place in Beijing called "Chuanying", where troops were stationed when they fought for the king. Qin Liangyu used to be, Dr. Guo Guanglu, Prince Taibao, Prince Taifu, Shaobao, Sichuan Ambassador, Governor General Zuodu, General Town East, Sichuan Company Commander, Loyal and Mrs. Yipin. After his death, the court of Nanming pursued "loyalty, filial piety and moral integrity".
