I. Introduction to Wang Yuekui's Works

Wang Yuekui's landscape painting art expresses China's traditional artistic realm of harmony between man and nature, neutrality and pure beauty with hearty and rich pen and ink language. This paper attempts to integrate the asexuality of Taoism, the harmony of Confucianism and the ethereal spirit of Buddhism, and create an illusory new realm and profound ambition.

There are two kinds of landscape features, one is "Yunlin Taiji" series, or ancient trees in the mountains, or misty clouds, or surrounded by waves. This kind of work is mainly based on traditional lines and pen and ink, and the artistic conception is written with heart. Although the brushwork is sloppy and casual, the mountains and rivers are clean, the wind and smoke are ethereal, like ink left by rainbows, the scenery is hazy and the image is unforgettable, which shows the lofty realm of harmony between man and nature.

The other is the series "Looking at Spring on Yangshan Mountain", which takes the beautiful and elegant terraced streams in the hometown of southern Sichuan as the theme and recalls the good times of childhood. This kind of work, supplemented by western colors in traditional pen and ink, depicts the scenery with colors. Although they are carefully arranged and stacked, they are beautiful and elegant, hazy and moist, as brilliant and magnificent as Bonaire's fabrics, showing the warm spring breeze and prosperous beautiful countryside.
