Background of Lihou Ancient City Project

Licheng, known as Hou Li in ancient times, is one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization and the old Taihang revolutionary base area. Located in the northeast of Changzhi City, at the junction of Shanxi, Hebei and Henan provinces, it is the "East Gate" of Shanxi Province and is known as the "thoroughfare of the three provinces". Shexian County, Hebei Province, east of Linzhou, Henan Province; Smooth and Lucheng in the south; Xiang yuan and Wuxiang in the West; Zuo Quan in Jinzhong is connected with the north.

Licheng county has a long history, with a civilization history of more than 2,700 years. The excavation of the Western Zhou tombs in Tapo proved that Licheng was the location of the Hou State. Myths, legends and historical stories, such as the goddess mending the sky, fighting for the sky by Chiyou, washing ears, fighting for heroes and fighting for Li, are all produced here. Cultural monuments such as the statue of the Northern Qi Dynasty, the Confucian Temple of the Song Dynasty, the Confucian Temple of Shengyuan of the Yuan Dynasty, the Xi River and the tomb of Feng are all over Licheng. Licheng was named "Millennium Ancient County" by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and Li Houhu and Shangdang Luozi were included in the national intangible cultural heritage list.

The mountains and rivers in Licheng are magnificent, and the mountains and rivers in the north of the county seat are unique, which is the most distinctive part of the 800-mile Taihang Mountain. It is called Taihang Gallery, and the original scene of the walnut woodcut "Sunrise Taihang" in Shanxi Hall of the Great Hall of the People is set in Licheng Mid-Levels. Licheng is rich in tourism resources and has many scenic spots, including Huangyadong, Taihang Hongshi Park, Xieerhe, the former site of Jinan Bank, Mid-levels and Chenghuang Temple. Among them, Huangyadong is the red holy land of China revolution, where Zhu De, Peng, Liu Bocheng, Zuo Quan, Yang and other proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation fought and lived for a long time. The Huangya Arsenal they founded was once the largest arsenal base of our army behind the enemy lines in Japan, with an annual output of weapons and ammunition 16 regiments. On March 22nd, 1985, Comrade Deng Xiaoping personally nominated Huang Yadong, which is extremely rare in China. Huangyadong Scenic Area is also a national patriotic education demonstration base, a key cultural relic protection unit and a national red tourism classic scenic spot.

Although Licheng has such geographical advantages and profound historical and cultural heritage, it has always lacked a platform for display, and the rich tourism resources around it have not been well integrated and utilized. The Licheng County Party Committee and the county government put forward the development goal of "Silicon Capital of China, Red Mountain of the World and Livable Ancient City" closely around the strategic deployment of the provincial and municipal committees. In order to better explore and inherit the history and culture and integrate the surrounding tourism resources, after many discussions with Tong Yuan Group, the Licheng County Party Committee and the county government formally signed a contract on 20 1 1 the 6th China Expo. In the same year, Tong Yuan Group established Shaanxi Tong Yuan Cultural Ancient Town Tourism Development Co., Ltd. to develop and construct the cultural tourism project of "Lihou Ancient Town".
