What printing process is traditional?
In ancient times, our ancestors had to clean the greasy places before dyeing a dress, and in the process of boiling and dyeing, they had to stir constantly to prevent some places from twisting into knots. Because there are oil stains or knots, it is easy to cause uneven dyeing, or poor dyeing, which will make clothes have different shades and flowers full of stains and spots, which is very ugly. However, by summing up the lessons of these dyeing failures, the working people in ancient China turned bad things into good things, and created unique printing techniques-Jia Valle, Wax Valle and Stranded Valle, which is what we usually call "Gu San Valle". Now people generally refer to the three as "pad dyeing, batik dyeing and tie dyeing". With the creation of craftsmen, this traditional craft was reborn in the 2 1 century.
Jia Valle
Jia Valle is a hollow double-sided anti-dye printing technology. During the Qin and Han Dynasties, papermaking was not invented, and cotton planting was not introduced. People can only carve patterns on both sides of the board, and then put linen and silk fabrics between two flower trays for vegetation dyeing. The printed cloth produced by this method is called "Javalle". Now the blue calico clothes that rural women in Jiangsu and Zhejiang often wear are made by this process. During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, the dyeing technology of hollowed-out Javalle also developed greatly. Emperor Yang Di once ordered craftsmen to print colorful pleated skirts for ladies-in-waiting and officials' wives and mothers. According to the system of the Tang Dynasty, soldiers' uniforms must be marked with Javalle's dyed fabrics, and imperial guards of the imperial court should wear small sleeve knee-length shirts and flower valle hats. The Tang system was still used in the Song Dynasty, and Javalle products were used as military products. During the reign of Xianping in Song Zhenzong, people were also forbidden to take soap stains and dye valerian cloth, and it was forbidden to sell the flower plates used by Javalle. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the processing technology of Jia Valle developed continuously. The dyeing process of Valeriana officinalis is most suitable for cotton and hemp fiber. Because of its clear pattern and durability, Jiawale products are still widely used in rural areas of China. Two-color cloth printed with anti-dye white pulp and dyed with indigo, also known as "medicinal patch" or "flower watering cloth", has always been deeply loved by the people.
strangle
Tie-dyeing is an ancient tie-dyeing process and one of the traditional hand-dyeing techniques in China. According to a certain pattern, it sews the fabric into a certain shape with needles and threads, or directly binds it with threads, and then tightens it, so that the folded part is not easy to dye, while the unbuttoned part is easy to dye, thus forming a unique halo effect.
Valeriana wax
Also known as batik, it is named after using beeswax as resist agent, which has a history of more than 2,000 years. Wax valerian products are rich in patterns and layers, which is one of the important cultural characteristics of southwest ethnic minorities. When making, first draw a pattern on the white cloth with a wax knife dipped in wax solution, and then put it into an indigo vat for dyeing. After repeated bleaching and dyeing, the wax-free part turns blue or cyan, and the wax-free part remains white and not colored. Finally, the wax printing cloth with clear blue and white and picturesque pattern is made by heating, dewaxing and washing. Batik patterns are mainly flowers, trees and geometric figures, with a moderate amount of insects, fish, birds and animals. The producer uses a pen like a knife to describe freely and smoothly, giving full play to the producer's imagination and creativity.
