What denomination is Islam in Malaysia
It is estimated to be predominantly Sunni. Sunni (Ahl a1-Sunnah), English name: Sunnite one of the main sects of Islam. The full name is "Sunnai and the popular sect", calling themselves "orthodox". It is considered the orthodox sect of Islam. It accounts for more than 85% of the world's Muslims. Together with the Shiites, they are known as the two main political and religious factions. "Sunni" is the phonetic translation of the Arabic language, which originally means "those who abide by the Sunna", i.e. "those who follow the tradition". The majority of Chinese Muslims belong to the Sunni sect and follow the Hanafi school of jurisprudence. The Sunnis are a sect that holds certain doctrines within Islam, and together with the Shiites, they form the two main sects of Muslims.
