Common hypnosis induction techniques and deepening techniques are as follows: 1, progressive relaxation method; 2, visual concentration method; 3, auditory concentration method; 4, suggestive questioning method; 5, deep breathing and meditation.
1, progressive relaxation method:
In the implementation of progressive relaxation method, the hypnotist will guide the subject to start from the head, and gradually downward relaxation of the whole body's various muscle groups.
Through deep breathing and focusing on the sensations of the body, the subject is able to gradually eliminate tension and anxiety and enter a state of deep relaxation. This state is similar to sleep, but unlike sleep, the subject remains awake in this state and is able to respond to external stimuli. The hypnotist will continue to guide the subject to deepen the state of relaxation until the hypnotic state is reached.
2, visual concentration method:
This method usually uses some simple geometric shapes or patterns, or specific visual effects to attract the subject's attention. Through prolonged gaze and concentration, the subject's attention will gradually be focused on these objects or patterns to the exclusion of other external interference.
Over time, subjects may experience changes in visual images, such as blurred vision and seeing hallucinations. This state is usually accompanied by a strong sense of concentration, making it easier for the subject to enter the hypnotic state.
3. Auditory Concentration Method:
This method utilizes monotonous, repetitive sounds or specific music to direct the subject's attention. By listening to these sounds or music for a long period of time, the subject's mind will be gradually brought to a specific channel, which in turn will make it easier to accept the hypnotist's instructions. This method helps the subject to exclude external distractions and focus on the hypnotist's words and suggestions.
4, suggestive questioning method:
In the implementation of the suggestive questioning method, the hypnotist will ask some suggestive questions to guide the subject's thinking.
These questions usually appear in the form of "whether", for example, "Do you feel the weight of a certain part of your body increase or decrease?" or "Do you feel the weight of a certain part of your body increase or decrease? Or "Do you feel that time is passing unusually fast?" etc. Through these questions, the hypnotist can guide the subject into a particular mode of thinking, and thus induce a hypnotic state.
5. Deep Breathing and Meditation:
Deep breathing and meditation are one of the common methods of inducing hypnotic state. Through deep breathing, subjects can relax their bodies and minds and focus on the feelings and experiences of the present moment.
Meditation, on the other hand, can help subjects eliminate distractions and anxieties and focus on a specific topic or feeling. During deep breathing and meditation, the hypnotist will give some guiding words and hints to help the subject gradually enter the hypnotic state.
