The difference between Chaoshan pot and Yixing pot

The difference between Chaoshan pot and Yixing pot: mud difference, craft difference, word-of-mouth gap.

1, mud difference

The Zhu mud in Yixing is unique, and the best is the sand from Huanglong Mountain and Dingzhuang. Yixing sand contains a lot of sand, which is not found in mud produced in other places. The raw material for making teapot is purple sand mine from Huanglong Mountain in Yixing, also known as "rich soil", which is divided into green mud, red mud and purple mud.

Chaozhou vermicelli belongs to silt with little sand content. Most of the raw materials for making hand-pulled pots are local Zhu mud in Chaozhou, Guangdong Province, which is khaki in appearance and turns red after firing. After the teapot is made, the texture is solid and the surface is smooth, but it can maintain low water absorption and air permeability.

2, process differences

Yixing teapot can be divided into full manual teapot and semi-manual teapot. Mud planing and patting are all done by hand step by step, while the hand-pulled teapot in Chaoshan is made by hand-pulled embryo technology, which is relatively more time-saving and labor-saving and less difficult.

3. Fame gap

Yixing teapot has formed a complete industrial chain. Under this kind of blessing, there are famous people at the bottom and they are very popular. Compared with the industrial form, Chaoshan hand-pulled teapot is incomplete, and its form and production steps are much simpler, so it is not as famous as Yixing teapot.

Method of making tea with teapot for the first time

Separate the teapot from the lid and put it in a clean container filled with water. The container should be large enough that water can't drown the whole teapot. At the same time, put some tea leaves in the container (the tea leaves you want to make are put in this pot) and cook them slowly on a small fire. Pay attention to prevent the pot from colliding with the lid or container wall and causing damage.

Cook slowly for about 1 hour, remove the fire source, let the teapot still stand in the container covered with water, slowly cool, and let it stand for 1 day. The next day, take out the pot, pour out the sediment left in the pot and wash it carefully with clear water. Repeat the above steps of 1-3 once. The next day, take out the pot and wash it carefully with hot water. After this treatment, the air holes in the pot have been opened and can be used.

Tea scale also makes it stuffy in the pot, because tea scale is the precipitation of nutrients and minerals in tea, which can maintain the pot body. The longer the time, the better the pot. The pot itself will not only get warmer in color, but even give off the natural aroma of tea.
