Which construction enterprises will die out in the future, and what should be done to transform and upgrade enterprises?

"Transformation" is what small and medium-sized enterprises that are not competitive in the industry need to do. "Transformation" is not a career change. Although career change is an option that these enterprises can choose at present, it is not the scope of this article.

The so-called transformation here is the transformation from project operation to direct operation of project enterprises. China's construction enterprises that depend on people for food account for more than 80% of all construction enterprises. If these enterprises cannot be transformed into direct-operated enterprises, most of them cannot survive for the following reasons:

First, in recent years, more and more directly operated construction enterprises have successfully realized the application of information technology in the process of project implementation, and some enterprises have begun to realize the integration of business and finance, and even taken solid steps to build "digital enterprises and data operations". Enterprises that do this will greatly improve the construction efficiency of their own projects, just as some enterprises still use concrete mixers after using concrete pumps in those years, and they will definitely lose their competitiveness.

Then, because the enterprise and the project belong to two stakeholders and are in a state of two skins, the data cannot be interconnected. In fact, most affiliated projects basically have no data in the sense of informationization, so affiliated projects lose their competitiveness in efficiency.

Second, BIM technology and building industrialization are getting better and better. Obviously, if enterprises want to master these two sharp weapons in the future, they must have the right to allocate project resources, otherwise there is no way to talk about it. The resource allocation right of affiliated projects is in the hands of affiliated enterprises rather than enterprises. So there is no way for such enterprises to learn BIM and industrialization.
