Matters needing attention in woodworking: solid wood board, paint-free board and density board. What board is suitable for woodworking?
Solid wood board: a board made of all wood. Its advantages are durability and natural texture, but its disadvantages are high cost and difficult construction. In fact, solid wood boards are the same as those used by traditional carpenters, but the finished products are directly spliced. More traditional boards need to be spliced by carpenters themselves. Commonly used in ceiling modeling, door covers, modeling wall lining and furniture production. Among them, the decorative panel needs to be installed after the furniture is made. The decorative board can be paint-free, the density board can also be used for oil blending process, and the wood grain decorative board can be used for oil removal process.
Paint-free board: also known as melamine board, it is a decorative board made by soaking different colors of paper in melamine resin glue, drying to a certain curing degree, laying it on the board and hot pressing. When decorating, it can be used to make furniture, wall decoration, bathroom doors and so on.
Density board: also called fiberboard, it is an artificial board made of pine sawdust by high temperature hot pressing and bonding. Divided into high, medium and low density boards. Generally, MDF is chosen for furniture, and it is the main board with mixed water paint on the surface. It is afraid of water and wet, and it is easy to deform when wet. Density board is mainly used to make cabinets, doors, linings and furniture.
Because no matter what materials are processed, there must be related tools. With the right tools, even metal equipment can be easily processed. Relatively speaking, solid wood boards are more expensive and more difficult to process, but if the money is not bad, solid wood is more environmentally friendly.
