Brief introduction of Sichuan dulcimer

Sichuan dulcimer is one of the representative pieces of Sichuan Han traditional folk art, which is mainly popular in Chengdu, Chongqing, Luzhou, Zigong and other cities and regions. It was also called dulcimer in the early days, and later it was changed to dulcimer. It was formed in the Qing dynasty and Qianlong period. By Guangxu period, the number of artists had exceeded 100, and they were divided into two groups: Nanshe and Beishe. On June 7th, 2008, Sichuan dulcimer declared by Sichuan Quyi Troupe, Chengdu Art Theatre and Sichuan Music and Dance Research Institute was approved by the State Council to be included in the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.
