It is said that earthen houses are good. Why not build adobe houses in rural areas now?
We used to live in a low mud brick house in the village. At that time, there were only two rooms at home, and each room was only 10 square meter. One is a living room and a bed, and the other is a bedroom and two beds. It took 86 years for these two adobe houses to move into the newly-built red brick house. Living in a brick house is still very comfortable.
In summer, although it is already very hot outside, it is still comfortable and cool inside. One of the reasons is that the adobe house has a thick roof, which is difficult for sunlight to penetrate. The roof is uneven and reflects sunlight, just like our common pavement. The uneven surface is its greatest portrayal. This kind of ground can easily penetrate the cold air from the ground into the room. In addition, adobe has good thermal insulation performance.
Even if the surface of adobe is exposed to the high temperature of 40 degrees in summer for more than 10 hour, the interior of adobe is still as cool as jade. I have to praise the special heat insulation performance of adobe. As for the reason, in fact, as above, it has played a reflective role. In winter, the heat on the surface of the earth is higher than that outside. Especially if the windows are well sealed, as long as the kitchen catches fire, the temperature of other connected rooms will also rise at the same time, and it is quite warm in winter.
