Liu Lingzui's cooking pot originated in the Jin and Yuan Dynasties in 1 126, and has been used continuously for nearly a thousand years. It is an important birthplace of distilled liquor in China. In 2005, Liu Lingzui Shaoguo Site was included in the first batch of China food cultural heritage by National Cultural Heritage Administration, and has been declared as a world cultural heritage on behalf of the China world. In 2006, the State Council officially announced the Liulingzui Shaoguo Site in Hebei Province as a national key cultural relic protection unit, and became one of the few "national protection" of liquor in China.

After thousands of years, Liu Ling's drunken brewing not only represents the development of high-quality liquor in China, but also is an important witness to the development history of Chinese civilization.

According to the sampling survey conducted by Institute of Microbiology, China Academy of Sciences, there are not only more than 30 kinds of living microbial flora for brewing high-quality liquor in Liulingzui ancient cellar, but also 4 strains that have not been found in other parts of the world, which are unique to Liulingzui ancient cellar and are of great significance to the study of high-quality liquor brewing in China.
