Why is Indian sports so bad?

Although India is a country with a large population, its sports are poor. In the past Olympic Games, little has been achieved. It is undoubtedly a strange thing that several medals can be counted with your fingers. After all, as the second most populous country in the world, the probability of the emergence of sports talents should be very high, but there are two main reasons why sports in India are so weak.

First, the government lacks investment intention. Professional sports are expensive. Once capital investment is lacking, facilities and bonuses cannot form the economic foundation of sports. In recent years, India is still very poor on the whole, although the speed of economic development is acceptable. The government has no intention of investing a lot of money in sports. As we all know, it takes a lot of money to train a sports talent, which requires enough money to support it.

Second, the mass base. Although Indians love sports, their sports foundation is actually very poor. In people's eyes, sports is physical labor, which is far less practical than other jobs. So they will also focus on other aspects of their children's training, which makes many talented people have no chance to get in touch with real sports, let alone become real professional athletes.
