List of Zisha Pot Masters

I. Gu Jingzhou

Gu Jingzhou (19 15- 1996), formerly known as Jingzhou. Nicknames: Manxi, Wuling Yi people, Jingnan Mountain Bridge. Self-styled Hu Lao and Lao Ping. Gu Jingzhou is recognized as the first famous teapot artist and one of the contemporary purple sand seven old.

18 years old, studying under a famous teacher. In the late 1930s, he went to Shanghai to make antique pots. At the age of 54, he joined Yixing Shushan Ceramic Cooperative (predecessor of Zisha Craft Factory) and participated in the National Arts and Crafts Congress three times in his life. His influence in Southeast Asia is very great, and he is known as the "master of pot art" at home and abroad. Many teapot from Gu Jingzhou have become the collections of major museums and cultural relics halls at home and abroad.

Second, Xu Xiutang.

Xu Xiutang, 1937 12, was born in a purple pottery family in Shushan, Yixing, and is a master of arts and crafts in China. He is currently the vice president of Wuxi Tea Culture Research Association, a visiting professor at Jiangnan University and a visiting professor at Wuxi Vocational and Technical College. Award-winning works include Sitting in the Eight Monsters and Learning Painting in Sesshū Tōyō. Xu Xiutang ranks second among the famous teapot. 1954, Ren Ganting, a famous old artist of zisha pottery carving in Xu Xiutang, studied zisha pottery carving. 1955, joined the shushan ceramics cooperative with the master.

Later, Xu Xiutang began to study colored sculptures, and only 1959 began to create pottery sculptures, mainly purple sand sculptures. His years of hard study were not in vain. Xu Xiutang's works have been exhibited at home and abroad for many times and won prizes. They have also been collected by museums in many countries and become one of the best famous artists in China.

Third, Lv Yaochen.

Lv Yaochen, male, Han nationality, Yixing native, born in 194 1, is a master of arts and crafts in China. For decades, Lv Yaochen devoted himself to the art of teapot, studied under Wu Yungen, the master of teapot art, and was later guided by Zhu Kexin, Gu Jingzhou and other famous artists. First, it was called "Lv Zhu", and then it learned from others and made bold innovations, forming a unique "Lv Hu Art". He also created the technique of "twisting mud on the ground", which changed the original connotation and form of zisha pottery, and was known as the "pot magician", ranking third among the famous zisha pots.

Fourth, Wang Yinxian.

Wang Yinxian (1943-202 1 February 28th), female, is from Dingnan Village, Dingshan, Yixing, Jiangsu. Wang Yinxian was admitted to Yixing Zisha Craft Factory on 1956, and studied under Wu Yungen, Jiang Rong, Zhu Kexin, Pei Shimin and other famous artists. On 1973, he entered the Institute and studied under Master Gu Jingzhou. 1976- 1977 studied in the "Daily Ceramic Art Design Training Course" held by the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts.

1989 was awarded the honorary titles of "National Model Worker" and "National March 8th Red Flag Bearer", and was named as the inheritor of intangible cultural heritage and outstanding inheritor of folk art and culture in 2006.

Verb (abbreviation of verb) Xu Hantang

Xu Hantang, 1932, 1 1 Born in Yixing, Jiangsu Province, is a master of arts and crafts in China and won the "China Arts and Crafts Lifetime Achievement Award", which is the only one in the purple sand industry in China. 1948 after graduating from junior high school, I studied with my parents. In the early 1950s, he became the first disciple of Mr. Gu, a contemporary purple sand master.

1975- 1976 entered the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts for further study. He is rich in artistic talent and has a solid foundation. He is good at copying traditional products and innovating. His craft modeling is very unique. Good at ice crack decoration, works such as ice jade. He is especially good at making all kinds of miniature pots. Every handwriting is called "Han and Tang pot" and is treasured by Shanghai potted plant community.
