In the late 1990s. With the continuous development of computer technology in the late 1990s, CR, as a new imaging technology, gradually replaced the traditional film imaging. CR can convert X-ray images into digital signals, and then digitally process, store, transmit and print them by using storage phosphor imaging plates instead of traditional films. Compared with the traditional X-ray imaging technology, CR has the advantages of high image resolution, low radiation dose and large dynamic range.
