What are the different kinds of goldfish?

Most people think that all goldfish look the same, but there are many kinds of goldfish and they all look different. Goldfish originated from ancient carp in China. It is through the propagation of carp that the first kind of goldfish-ordinary goldfish-was born! Since then, people have cultivated all kinds of goldfish through selective breeding. Most common goldfish are related to their ancestor carp, and most fancy varieties are selectively propagated on the basis of common goldfish, mainly producing fish with various shapes, eyes, fins and colors.

It is difficult to classify them because of their variety. The simplest way is through the arrangement of fins: single tail and double tail. A tail:

1.Common/feeder: Common has many different colors, including orange, yellow, "wild" color (brown) and white. Their patterns can be uniform colors or various color combinations and spots.

2. Comets: Comets are very similar to ordinary comets, the only difference is their tails-the tails of comets are much longer.

3. Shu Bangjin: It is very similar to a comet in tail and body shape. Shubunkin can be identified by their colors and patterns-they only have white cloth!

Double tails: These are often called "fantasies". Most types are rounder than single-tailed goldfish and have various interesting features. These are goldfish with independent tail fins. The two tails of a two-tailed dog breed fuse together at the bottom, making them look like wings.

1. Long-tailed snake: Long-tailed snakes are slightly thicker than single-tailed snakes, but they are easy to identify from their tiny double tails.

2. Ji Jin: They are hard to find because it is almost impossible to breed perfect peacocks. They should have a long body, just like a single-tailed goldfish, but they have a double tail, which is spread at 180 degrees.

3. Fan-tailed goldfish: This goldfish is very similar to Sleeping Beauty, except that its tail is longer and its body is much rounder than Sleeping Beauty. They are one of the most popular fantasy types. They have countless colors and patterns, although ordinary orange seems to be the most common.

4. Goldfish with tails: They look like ordinary fan-tailed goldfish, but their fins are longer and more flowery. In fact, the tail sometimes grows almost twice as long as the body! The name comes from the appearance of a fish's tail like a veil when swimming. They come in almost all colors and styles.

5. Ryukyu Dragon: There are two kinds: long tail and short tail. Ryukyu dragon is similar to a fan tail, except that there is a big hump behind its head. They have all kinds of colors and patterns, but red and white seem to be the most common.

6. Tosaki: This goldfish is famous for its huge curly tail. It is a very rare goldfish with very special requirements.

7. Telescopic eye: Telescopic eye is named after its big and protruding eyes, which is caused by gene mutation. They have several different subtypes, such as butterfly (with butterfly-shaped tail), black Moore (with completely black telescope eyes) and Demekin (Ryukyu people with telescope eyes), and they all have similar requirements.

Telescopic eyes are very popular and are available in most pet shops. They have all kinds of colors and patterns, including more exotic ones, such as panda, chocolate and purple.

8. Holland: They are often mistaken for lion heads. They are easy to recognize because they have something like brains on their heads. This head growth is called "grain" and is the result of selective breeding. Hollanda has all kinds of colors and interesting patterns; For example, the red hat orandas is all white with red stripes!

9. pompom: the name of pompom, sometimes called Hana Fusa, comes from the enlarged nose flower. They look like little fluffy balls on the nose of a fish!

There are two different kinds of fluffy goldfish; One has a normal dorsal fin and the other has no dorsal fin.

10.? Lan Chu: This is a round goldfish with no back. There is a small pimple on the whole head, which is often mistaken for a lion's head. Lanchester has almost all colors to choose from. They are very popular.
