Operation method of cardiovascular angiography

1. Before surgery

The skin should be prepared for iodine allergy test. In order to avoid nausea and vomiting caused by contrast media, people should fast for 6 hours before operation and give some sedatives such as barbiturates or diazepam before operation. Older children and adults should be given 1% lidocaine for local anesthesia. Babies need intravenous injection or local anesthesia with 1% lidocaine.

2. It happened during the surgical operation.

Femoral artery and femoral vein are usually sent into cardiac catheter by percutaneous puncture, and coronary angiography can choose to twist the artery. Send the catheter to the selected imaging site. When the catheter is in the blood vessel and heart cavity, heparin saline (40mg heparin in 500ml) should be used to wash and drip into the heart catheter to prevent the catheter from coagulation. If left cardiac angiography is performed, 0.5mg/kg heparin should be pushed into the catheter for anticoagulation to prevent thrombosis and embolism. After angiography, exit the cardiac catheter and press the puncture site to stop bleeding. After hemostasis, press the bandage, especially during arterial puncture, pay attention to completely stop bleeding and avoid hematoma.

3. After the operation

After cardiovascular angiography patients return to the ward, they should observe the changes of heart rate, respiration, blood pressure and body temperature within the first 4 ~ 6 hours, so as to find out the changes of heart function, arrhythmia and adverse reactions of contrast media in time and treat them in time. Patients who are awake should be encouraged to drink more water, and patients who are not awake under anesthesia should be given intravenous fluids properly to promote the discharge of contrast media and reduce the impact on the kidneys. Also observe whether the patient's wound has oozing blood. Patients with femoral artery puncture need to stay in bed for 24 hours to avoid premature hematoma or dissecting aneurysm at the puncture site.
