Yangko and drums.

Yangko is a traditional folk dance in China, which is famous for its bold and enthusiastic drums. There are three common drumming methods in yangko:

1.? "Right-handed": This is the most basic and common way to play, with two hands holding the drum, the right hand beating the drum surface and the left hand beating the drum edge. This kind of play is simple and clear, full of voice, giving people a strong sense of rhythm.

2.? "Left and right blows": This style of play requires both hands to hit the drum surface at the same time, and the left and right drums echo each other. Strike once with the left hand, then once with the right hand, and so on, to form a continuous drum. This way of playing can improve the overall drumming effect and enhance the rhythm of the dance.

3.? "Crossstroke": This style of play requires the left and right hands to hit the drum face horizontally. When the left hand strikes, the right hand is raised, and when the right hand strikes, the left hand is raised to form a cross drum. This kind of play is complex and difficult, which can add more visual effects and movement to yangko.

When drummers play yangko gongs and drums, they need to use these methods reasonably according to the rhythm and movements of the dance, so that the gongs and drums can be integrated with the dance movements and the overall expressive force and appeal can be enhanced. In addition, the drummer's sense of rhythm and stability is also very important, and it takes a long time of training and practice to reach proficiency.
