On the Traditional Research of Mind and Body

Five connotations of China traditional culture;

First, the study of mind and nature.

The study of mind and nature belongs to the research category of China's traditional philosophy. All thoughts of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism involve this category.

Second, the research of practical application.

Practical application means that learning must be beneficial to national affairs. The word pragmatic was put forward by thinkers Wang Fuzhi, Huang Zongxi and Gu in Ming and Qing Dynasties. They believe that learning and quoting ancient articles and actions should focus on managing affairs and saving the world, and oppose the unrealistic and empty learning of pseudo-Neo-Confucianism at that time, which has a great influence on future generations.

Third, textual research.

Textual research is a research method, also known as textual research or simple science. Its main work is to sort out, collate, annotate and compile ancient books. Regarding textual research, Liang Qichao has a few brief words in Preface: the fundamental method of textual research lies in "seeking truth from facts" and "not believing without evidence". Its research scope, centered on Confucian classics, extends to primary schools, phonology, history, natural calculation, land and water, laws and regulations, epigraphy, collation, compilation and so on.

Fourth, study Zhang Ci (Tang poetry, Song ci, Yuan famous novels).

The study of writing skills is called the study of characters and chapters.

Five, the five elements of learning

Hutuluo is the source of China culture, with yin and yang and five elements. It was first seen in Shangshu, and later described by hundred schools of thought in Yi Zhuan.

Tai Chi, Eight Diagrams, Zhouyi, Liu Jia, nine planets, Feng Shui and so on can all be traced back to this point. 1987 Xingyi Tomb unearthed in Xishuipo, Puyang, Henan Province, dating back about 6500 years. The images of dragons, tigers and white tigers painted with shells in the tomb are lifelike, almost exactly the same as those in modern times. The river map has four elephants and 28 dwellings.

Its layout is related to the geography of the stars in form and meaning, and it will be informed that it will be excavated when it is buried. In the same year, Anhui Hanshan Turtle-bellied Jade was a statue of Luo Shu, about 5,000 years ago. It can be known that people had mastered the physics of heaven and earth, the number of river maps and Luo Shu at that time According to experts' research, the star map in Xingyi Tomb can be compared with that of 25,000 years ago. This shows that Shao Yong and other sages think that "the river map and Luo Shu are ancient star maps", and their words are true.
