qutang gorge

It is 8 kilometers long, starting from Baidicheng, fengjie county in the west and ending in Daxi Town, Wushan County in the east. The scenery is the most majestic and steep. The main attractions are Fengjie Ancient City, Eight Arrays Map, Fish Pagoda, Ancient Plank Road, Fengxiang Gorge, Fenqiang, Meng Liang Ladder and Rhinoceros Watching the Moon.

Qutangxia, also known as Kuixia. It starts from Baidicheng, fengjie county, Chongqing in the west and reaches Daxi Town, Wushan County in the east, with a total length of about 8 kilometers. Among the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, although it is the shortest, it is the most majestic and steep.

As soon as the roaring Yangtze River entered the canyon, it met the majestic Kuimen. The peaks on both sides of Kuimen are as steep as city walls and rise from the ground, forcing the surging river into a thin strip and winding in the deep valley. The river here is only one or two hundred meters wide, and the narrowest place is only a few tens of meters; The main peaks on both banks can be as high as 1000- 1500m. Here, the deep-water rivers and endless mountains in the canyon constitute an extremely magnificent picture. As Guo Moruo said in his poem "Crossing Qutang Gorge", "If the scenery is different, the Three Gorges is the best".

There are many places of interest in Qutang Gorge, which are concentrated and convenient for tourists. There are Fengjie Ancient City, Eight Arrays and Fish Pagoda in the upper reaches of Xiakou. On the top of the mountain on the north bank of the canyon, there are many cultural relics, the breathtaking ancient plank road and the mysterious Fengxiang Gorge. On the south bank, there are carved white walls, the legendary Meng Liang ladder, upside-down monks, armor caves, and phoenix drinking fountains with quiet springs. On the south bank not far from the downstream of Fengxiang Gorge, there is a grotesque mountain peak protruding from the river, which is called "rhinoceros looking at the moon". Under Chuqutang, the Daxi cultural site on the south bank of Xiakou, archaeologists are most interested in it. The site of Du Fu Caotang, which is only a few kilometers away from Baidicheng, is a place where poets linger.

Wu Gorge

In Wushan County, Sichuan Province and Badong County, Hubei Province, it extends from Daning estuary in the east of Wushan County in Chongqing to Guandukou in Badong County, Hubei Province, with a total length of more than 40 kilometers, including Yinjiaxia in Jin Lan and TieGuan Xia. The canyon is particularly deep and tortuous, which was formed by the Yangtze River crossing the Wushan main vein anticline.

Martial arts, also known as heroes, are famous for their deep beauty. The whole gorge area is the most impressive section of the Three Gorges, with abrupt peaks, rugged rocks and precipices, full of poems and love letters. Wuxia Valley is long, winding, with towering peaks, misty clouds and beautiful scenery, like a beautiful gallery.

A Qing Xu Rulong's poem "Wuxia" said: "The boat is under the Wuxia, and the heart is at the Twelve Peaks. The peaks here are beautiful, magnificent, misty and fascinating. The six peaks on the north shore are Denglong, Shengquan, Chaoyun, Wang Xia, Songluan and Jixian. There are also six peaks on the south bank, but the three peaks that can be seen in the river are Feng Fei, Cuiping and He Ju in turn, while the other three peaks, Jingtan, Yun Qi and Denggao, have not reached the river. If you want to visit, you must go upstream from Qingshi Creek near Fengfei Peak and land in Lanchang to enjoy the magnificent appearance of the three cases. Therefore, Lu You said in Song of the Three Gorges: "See Jiu Feng at the Twelve Wushan Mountains, and the bow is full of autumn colors. Poets in the Tang Dynasty praised the Twelve Peaks of Wushan, among which "Twelve Peaks of Wushan are all in the sky"; "Wushan towering into the clouds, dangerous peaks and twelve ridges of purple smoke"; "Wushan case 12, together with the hidden Zhao Tong".

Yuan Zhen, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, once wrote a poem: "The sea is difficult for water, but amber is always there." It can be seen that Wushan is the best in the world. The reason why Badong is famous is related to a celebrity, except for the lines "There is a witch gorge in Badong Gorge, and an ape cried three times with tears". This celebrity is Kou Zhun, a famous figure in the Northern Song Dynasty. Kou Zhun was originally from Shanxi, and was assigned to Badong as county magistrate at the age of 19. During his three years in Badong, he wrote hundreds of poems. He built a "Qiu Feng Pavilion" in the old county about 40 kilometers away from the present Badong county, where he often traveled, wrote poems and drank wine and paid tribute. Later, when Kou Zhun became prime minister, Qiu Feng Pavilion became famous. Since then, successive Badong County Magistrates have thought that Qiu Feng Pavilion is a propitious place for official career. Before taking office, they must go to Qiu Feng Pavilion to drink and compose poems, and stay overnight, so as to achieve something in the future. Scholars visiting Badong also attach great importance to Qiu Feng Pavilion, where they often write poems, play chess and paint. For the people of Badong, Qiu Feng Pavilion is regarded as a treasure, because it bears in mind the achievements of Gongsun Kang.

There are many historical sites in Wuxia District, and visitors can easily see the Kongming Monument under Jixian Peak. This peak is shaped like a fairy party, divided into two forks, much like scissors inserted in the sky, so it is also called scissors peak. There is a rectangular white rock wall at the bottom of the peak, engraved with six Chinese characters, which is said to have been written by Zhuge Liang. There are also some inscriptions, which have been eroded by wind and rain and have blurred handwriting.

When you come to Badong, you must visit the Qiu Feng Pavilion. Standing in the pavilion, looking at the surrounding scenery, I saw mountains and rivers, the wind blowing on my face, refreshing. Standing where Kou Zhun once stood, it seems that you can feel the feelings of this good minister who cares about the world and helps the people. In Badong, the most famous scenery should be Shennong River. If you have time, you can try Shennong River rafting. If there is no time, I will continue to go up and enjoy the deep beauty of Wushan.

There are three major landscapes in the Wuxia Gorge (Chu balcony of Wushan Goddess in Meng Hui, Chu Huaiwang, a book table given by Dayu in Yaoji, and a dragon-chopping table for Dayu to kill dragons) and eight major scenic spots (Chunxiao in Nanling, Sunset in Yangliuping, Late Crossing at Daning River Estuary, Fishing in Qingxi River and Autumn Moon at Chengtan River Ferry). Lu You, a poet in the Song Dynasty, said, "The boat is under the Wuxia Gorge, and the heart is at the Twelve Peaks."

Among the twelve peaks, goddess peak is the most famous. There is a beautiful stone pillar on the top of the mountain, which looks like a slim girl. She welcomes the morning glow at the earliest and sends the sunset glow away at last, so she is also called "Wang Xiafeng". According to Tang Guangcheng's "Wandering Immortals in Yucheng", Yao Ji, the youngest daughter of the Queen Mother of the West, swam across Wushan with madness and saw the flood raging, so she "helped Yu to chisel stones, dredge waves, stop floods and guide Eritrea to follow the current". When the flood was too normal, Yao Ji prayed for a good year for the people, sailed safely and stood on the top of the mountain for a long time, so she became goddess peak.
