Doctoral thesis of art design

Art design is a creative means to express the spirit through material, a professional cluster that can be derived and traced back to many aspects, and also a modern science and technology industry. The following is my doctoral thesis on art design for your reference.

Model essay 1: the application of paper-cutting art in modern art design

Paper-cut art is an outstanding representative of traditional folk art in China, which is characterized by symbolism, complanation, decoration and symbolism. The effective integration of traditional paper-cutting art into modern art design can not only maintain the historical characteristics of art design and inherit the excellent Chinese traditional culture, but also avoid the simplicity, superficiality and roughness of art design in expression form and composition method, realize the effective unity of functional requirements and spiritual values, and make modern art design more ornamental. This paper comprehensively analyzes the influence of paper-cut art on modern art design, and provides some reference suggestions for how to integrate paper-cut art into modern art design.

Paper-cut art, characteristics of modern design art

Chinese paper-cutting reflects the hard work of people of all ethnic groups in China, and it is the artistic essence accumulated by people's long-term practice. The vivid expression of paper-cut art contains national emotional temperament, group consciousness and custom psychology, which shows the wisdom and pure emotion of the Chinese nation.

First, the application of traditional paper-cutting art in modern design

First of all, traditional paper-cutting art is widely used in graphic design. By refining and transforming traditional graphics or some elements with national colors, the visual language is continuously expanded and enriched. It can be said that the unique expressive force of paper-cut art in modern design is unrepeatable. For example, the shadow of paper-cut art is active in some graphic design fields such as cartoon modeling, film and television program setting, advertising posters, illustrations and cartoons, printing and packaging, book binding and so on. Secondly, it is not difficult to see the traditional paper-cut artistic elements in some sculpture designs, which increases the artistic appeal of the sculpture. Because the paper-cut art itself has local history and culture, characteristics of the times, folk customs and other aspects, it can effectively expand the field of modern art design and enrich the artistic expressions of art designers. Furthermore, the art of paper-cutting enriches the form and connotation of fashion design. In the process of fashion design, modern people. Don't forget to add some traditional elements to ensure that the design conforms to tradition and keeps pace with the times. For example, the traditional temperament of paper-cutting art has been favored by designers, so the designs and colors of many clothes, shoes, bags and sheets on the market are dazzling, and it is not difficult to see the traces of paper-cutting art in these designs and colors. Therefore, paper-cutting art has been widely used in the field of clothing.

Second, the innovative application of modern design to traditional paper-cutting art.

1. organically combine the functions and characteristics of paper-cutting.

Modern design has various forms and rich contents, involving product design, visual communication design, clothing design, environmental art design and other fields. With the continuous development and progress of society, the aesthetic standards of modern people are getting higher and higher, and the traditional simple and visual design can no longer meet people's aesthetic needs. Based on this, it is of great significance to supplement the historical connotation and spiritual soul of modern design. Therefore, modern people should inherit the characteristics of paper-cutting art and ensure its functionality when designing. On this basis, according to people's individual needs, the composition and expression of paper-cutting art are changed, and the functions and characteristics of paper-cutting are organically combined.

2. Realization? Tradition And then what? Times? Effective unification.

With the acceleration of informatization and digitalization, how to realize pioneering and innovation on the basis of inheriting and carrying forward excellent traditions is an important topic faced by modern designers. How to make modern people appreciate and accept paper-cutting art, a traditional artistic expression, and effectively penetrate into modern people's lives is a difficult problem worth thinking about. Throughout the history of world art development, it is not difficult to see that Picasso and Matisse both tried to infiltrate China traditional folk paper-cutting art into the process of artistic creation. Therefore, the charm and value of paper-cutting art is irreplaceable. In order to preserve the essence of this art, modern designers must display their rich imagination, cultivate innovative spirit and capture creative inspiration, so that China traditional paper-cut art can exist in modern art design in a more appropriate posture.

3. Use and develop the artistic language of paper cutting.

No matter what kind of design incorporates paper-cutting elements, we should maintain a respectful attitude towards the artistic language of paper-cutting. Through the length, size, straightness, thickness, density, frustration, rigidity and unevenness of the cutter, the ecological beauty and simplicity of paper-cutting are vividly expressed. On the contrary, modern digitalization with uniform thickness sometimes seems neither fish nor fowl. In addition, in the process of integrating paper-cut art into modern design, using deformation and exaggeration to ensure the symbolism and symbolism of cultural connotation can also show the language of paper-cut art interestingly. In the design process, the cultural artistic conception of paper-cut elements can only be expressed through semantics and semiotics, and it can be called a really good design. Avoiding the simple use of similar elements and effectively displaying profound cultural connotations are worthy of in-depth study.

4. Innovation and development of traditional paper-cutting art. ..

Modern design should actively carry out the development and innovation of paper-cutting art on the basis of inheriting and carrying forward the traditional paper-cutting art, and the development methods should be as diverse as possible. When choosing materials and colors, designers should choose colorful paper-cuts to make modern paper-cut paintings. In the design process, they should avoid the limitations of traditional paper-cut models and insist on using art paper with hard texture, long life and large thickness. With the support of modern science and technology, the paper-cut paintings produced are guaranteed to have unique magnetism and can be pasted repeatedly, which is close to the needs of modern people's lives. Paper-cutting is an indispensable element in modern design, which can help design multi-dimensional, three-dimensional and flexible works. Take Xia, an artist, as an example. xia yang has been writing overseas for a long time, but he prefers the cultural traditions of China. Therefore, he skillfully used western media to vividly and comprehensively interpret China's folk art and artistic spirit. The effective coordination of the two not only embodies the profound cultural background, but also is full of modernity. He inserted paper-cut elements into the composition of literati paintings, but maintained a simple and naive nature in colorful forms.

Three. Concluding remarks

Paper-cut art and modern design should complement each other. The infiltration of paper-cutting technology can preserve the cultural heritage and traditional characteristics of modern design art, and the development and innovation of modern design has promoted the development and inheritance of paper-cutting art. Therefore, it is of great significance to strengthen the application of paper-cutting art in modern design.

Fan Wener: Research on Sketch Teaching of Art Design in Colleges and Universities [Abstract] This paper analyzes the present situation of sketch teaching of art design major in colleges and universities, and puts forward three reform measures in view of the existing problems. Through the reform and innovation of traditional teaching mode, we try to establish a professional sketch system that can better meet the development needs of different design majors, and lay a good foundation for students' later professional study and improvement of design professional ability.

First, the status quo of design sketch teaching for art design majors in colleges and universities

1. The structure of teaching staff is unreasonable.

Due to the rapid development of majors, there are serious problems in the teaching staff, which leads to a large number of graduate students who have neither school teaching experience nor enterprise practical experience directly entering the first-line teaching in colleges and universities as soon as they graduate. They directly face college students who have just entered the school or undergraduates who have book knowledge, and the results can be imagined.

2. The teaching mode is single and the teaching reform lags behind.

For a long time, design sketch teaching has invariably chosen constructive and creative design sketch forms closely related to plane composition and graphic creativity, but this single design sketch teaching form is not suitable for the basic design teaching of every design course. As we all know, as early as the late 1980s, the sketch form of painting art has been reformed, and different sketch methods have been created for different painting forms such as Chinese painting, oil painting and printmaking, and very obvious teaching effects have been achieved. In the early days of the emergence of design specialty, without exception, students were trained in the design foundation by sketching and sketching, and the basic essentials and elements to be used in design, such as basic modeling, basic structure and space, were solved. For a long time, this teaching mode undoubtedly played a very positive role in the design teaching at that time. However, after entering the 2 1 century, with the rapid development of all aspects of the whole society, the art design specialty is changing with each passing day, and the professional division of labor is becoming more and more detailed. It is obviously not feasible for so many design disciplines and majors to adopt the single design sketch teaching form in the past, which ignores the directivity of different majors in design disciplines and is not suitable for every design major. Just as physical training and strength training are just the general knowledge base of all sports, each kind of sports has its own characteristic basic training, such as basketball needs to practice dribbling and shooting, and football needs to practice dribbling and shooting. Therefore, the author puts forward that each different design category must establish a set of teaching system of design sketch, which we can call professional sketch here, that is, professional design sketch which is closely connected with various majors step by step. For example, we have established cartoon sketches of film and television animation cartoon art and so on.

3. Teaching methods are outdated and students' innovative thinking ability is poor.

Sketch teaching in China has long followed the traditional teaching methods of Russian system and European traditional academic school, which enables students to master techniques and strengthen modeling ability, but lacks creative links. This teaching method limits the imagination of design students to some extent. Compared with traditional sketch, the main task of design sketch is no longer to reproduce objective things, but to find and express them. For designers, rich imagination and creativity are far more important than skilled skills. At present, some design colleges in China have made a series of adjustments and put forward the proposition of design sketch, but most of the teaching of design sketch still follows the traditional sketch teaching mode, without combining the professional characteristics of design specialty to cultivate students' design thinking.

Second, design sketch teaching reform measures

As early as 2007, the author put forward that the teaching content of design sketch in the basic education of art design must be reformed. After years of teaching practice, the author puts forward again today that at present, the teaching content of design sketch in most colleges and universities is only general knowledge, but lacks the teaching content of design sketch that matches with various design majors, so it is necessary to establish a professional design sketch teaching system suitable for different design majors. So how to establish the corresponding professional design sketch through professional characteristics? This is a problem that our teachers engaged in basic design teaching must solve.

1. Establish a general basic sketch course to provide support for the subsequent professional design sketch.

The teaching of design sketch should be a continuous whole from nature to sketch and then to design. In practice teaching, we should make a special and systematic study on the types and design factors of nature and sketch, pay attention to cultivating students' accurate modeling ability and rich spatial thinking ability, so that the foundation and specialty can be integrated, interlocking, and the teaching will be from shallow to deep, from easy to difficult, step by step.

2. Create a diversified professional sketch teaching system and teaching environment corresponding to professional teaching.

Different types of art design majors must also establish a set of professional design sketches suitable for their own design disciplines, focusing on cultivating students and the basic content of their major. Although the training of this kind of professional sketch may overlap or overlap with some courses, it is urgent to establish a professional sketch system suitable for all kinds of art design majors. The diversified development of art requires diversified teaching, and more attention should be paid to artistic practice teaching. For example, the professional design sketch of product modeling design can take the form of sketch training based on structural modeling; The majors of visual communication and advertising design can adopt the training form of creative sketch as the theme; Indoor space design should take a large number of research perspectives and decorative design sketches as the teaching direction; Landscape design can sketch a lot of natural scenery and human landscape as the teaching theme of design sketch. This kind of teaching doesn't have to be carried out indoors, but the classroom can be moved to nature to strengthen students' description of the natural environment and human landscape. Furniture design majors should not only learn traditional decorative sketches, but also let students learn more about the composition and structure of objects and the relationship between structures.

3. Pay attention to the cultivation and training of innovative ability.

What should design sketch teaching be based on? Serve the design, serve people? Taking this as a starting point, combined with the thinking, observation and expression required by different art and design majors, the step-by-step teaching method is adopted to strengthen the cultivation of students' creative ability, and the design consciousness and innovative ability are integrated into the cultivation process by adopting various methods and thinking. In teaching, students should fully understand the basic features such as modeling, structure, space and materials, cultivate their ability to study the formal language and aesthetic expression of sketch ontology, and explore their own personality from visual characteristics, effects and conveyed emotions. At the same time, students' design thinking is developed through creative practice activities to improve their imagination and creativity.

Third, the conclusion

In short, teachers of basic design courses in colleges and universities should combine the characteristics of each major, reform and innovate the traditional teaching mode, adhere to the design concept as the guide, constantly sum up experience, establish a professional sketch teaching system that can better meet the development needs of different design majors, pay attention to cultivating students' imagination and creativity, and lay a good foundation for students' later professional study and improvement of design professional ability.
