Qingyang Xifeng suona is a folk percussion instrument with suona as the main instrument, also known as drum blowing. After continuous processing and handed down from generation to generation by artists, it has become a unique folk music in China with its numerous tunes, huge performance team, rich folk content and strong local characteristics. With Xifeng as the center, it is distributed in Qingcheng County, Huanxian County, Heshui County, Ningxian County, Zhengning County and some towns around zhenyuan county. There are 3/kloc-0 suona clubs in Xifeng District alone, with 286 employees. There are two forms of this kind of music: large-scale combination and small-scale combination. Generally, musicians can master more than two kinds of musical instruments, and they can be mobilized at will under the same conditions. Qingyang suona qupai is rich, with simple charm, self-contained system and unique style. According to the general survey, there are more than 200 pieces of traditional music/kloc-0, of which 496 pieces have been included in the integration of national instrumental music in Qingyang area. According to their origin and evolution, these tunes can be divided into three categories: highly instrumental traditional tunes, variations of folk songs and local opera tunes, with Pihong Hanging Pictures as the representative repertoire.

The cultural value of Qingyang suona is not only reflected in the uniqueness of music, but also in the extension of content. For example, running a newspaper is one of the expressive forms with rich connotations. Through oral communication, it has greatly exerted the artist's improvisation ability, fully demonstrated the intelligence of working people, and played an important role in inheriting and carrying forward traditional virtues and enhancing social cohesion. However, this unique music species is in a serious endangered state, and corresponding rescue and protection measures are urgently needed.
