How did China Taoism spread to Europe?

Taoism in Europe (turn)

At the invitation of the China Religious and Cultural Exchange Association and the Chinese Taoist Association, four foreign Taoist disciples from Europe and North America from the Meditation Palace in Barcelona and the Spanish Taoist Association left Barcelona on the third day of the third lunar month, accompanying Master Tian Chengyang, President of the Spanish Taoist Association, to attend the "International Tao Te Ching Forum" held in Xi 'an Port from April 22 to 27. At this forum, they brought four Spanish versions of Tao Te Ching and 1 Catalan version of Tao Te Ching, the official language of Barcelona (according to statistics, there are more than 40 versions of Tao Te Ching published in Spain at present), which were provided to the exhibition of Tao Te Ching held in Hong Kong and the collection of Chinese Taoist Association respectively.

After the closing of the forum, the Jing Gong Taoist Temple in Barcelona, the Taoist Association of Spain and France visited the Taoist Association of China on April 30th. He had a cordial meeting and talks with Huang Xinyang, Vice President of the Chinese Taoist Association, Yuan Shoudong, Secretary General, and Sun Tongchang, Deputy Secretary General of the International Liaison Department. Tian Chengyang, Chairman of the Spanish Taoist Association, was the Spanish translator. Attending the tour were four disciples of the Meditation Palace in Barcelona and the Spanish Taoist Association, Tian Xin Dao (Andorra alfons), Tian Xinxin (Jodi in Barcelona, Spain), Tian Psychological (Yeida Ramon, Spain), Tian Xinde (Julio, Puerto Rico) and Huang Xinyi, Secretary General of the French Taoist Association (Paris).

This is the first authentic Taoist jungle in Europe. The Jing Gong Taoist Temple in Barcelona and the Spanish Taoist Association visited the Chinese Taoist Association for the first time in six years. The name of the delegation is "Love China, Love Taoism-Spanish Taoist Association, a visiting delegation to the Quiet Palace in Barcelona." The visiting delegation presented the Chinese Taoist Association with a metal gift brand printed with the words "Taoism spread to Europe, but the truth belongs to China", and prepared information on the founding process of Spanish Taoism after eight years of hard struggle with the efforts of Tian Chengyang, president of the Spanish Taoist Association. The Chinese Taoist Association presented a bronze statue of Laozi and related classics to the Meditation Palace in Spain. The leaders of the Chinese Taoist Association praised the efforts made by the Jinggong Taoist Temple in Barcelona and the Spanish Taoist Association to vigorously promote Taoism in Europe, and expressed their support for the Spanish Taoist Association and the French Taoist Association to jointly establish the "European Taoist Center". They welcomed the Spanish Taoist Association and the French Taoist Association to visit again and conduct friendly exchanges with domestic Taoism.

In March 2007, when Igor, the head of the French Taoist Association, and Huang Xinyi, the chairman and secretary-general of the French Sanyuan Taoist Association, visited the Jinggong Taoist Temple in Spain, at the initiative of the Taoist priest in Tian Chengyang, the Taoist associations of the two countries decided to unite European Taoist forces and jointly establish the European Taoist Center.

In April, 2007, at the joint invitation of China Religious and Cultural Exchange Association and Chinese Taoist Association, Tian Chengyang Taoist led four foreign disciples from the Spanish Quiet Palace to attend the "International Tao Te Ching Forum" held in Xi and Hongkong successively, and had a concrete discussion with Karine, president of French Taoist Association who stayed in China for two years, on the establishment of a European Taoist organization. Since then, Jingxiu has established communication with the well-known British Taoist Association and Swiss Taoist Association in Xi 'an, and talked with Tian Chengyang Taoist who returned to the Chinese Taoist Association by telephone to discuss the future model of European Taoist organizations. According to the proposal of Taoism in Tian Chengyang, the future European Taoist organization is called "European Taoist Union".

It was originally planned to convene Taoist representatives from various countries in July to have a meeting with them. Because of work, we couldn't get together, so we changed to a regional gathering, and the heads of Taoist associations in Britain, Spain, France, Switzerland and other countries interacted by email and telephone. And on July 17, 2007, he went to Paris for specific consultations with Tian. Gradually reached an agreement on the establishment of various aspects of European Taoist organizations.

Due to the Taoist associations in Europe, only the Spanish Taoist Association where Tian Chengyang is located is the only religious association in Europe, and the Jing Gong in Barcelona is also the first religious European Taoist entity in history. Taoist associations in other countries are cultural non-governmental organizations, so everyone decided to register and establish the European Taoist Union in Spain and transfer it to the EU headquarters. Since then, according to the knowledge of Taoist associations in various countries and through the drafting of the Spanish Taoist Association, the draft constitution of the European Taoist Federation has been completed.

From August 10 to August 12, 2007, Tian, head of the French Taoist Association and president of the French Ternary Taoist Association, rushed to the Meditation Palace in Barcelona to meet the master and report on the revision of the association's articles of association and the blueprint for the future. Together with Tian Chengyang Taoist and Tian Xin Qing, president of Catalan Taoist Association, according to the consensus of European Taoist organizations, the draft articles of association of the European Union were revised one by one, and finally improved.

The Constitution of the European Taoist Federation, which has been formed, will soon be formally established after deliberation by Taoist organizations in European countries.

As a religious entity, the first Taoist jungle in Europe, the Jinggong Taoist Temple in Spain, applied for registration through the Spanish Taoist Association and was officially confirmed by the Spanish government in February 2006, achieving equal legal status with Catholicism. This is the first religious entity founded by China Taoism in Europe, and it has become a milestone for Taoism to spread to the European continent.

The establishment of Pure Palace Taoist Temple originated from Tian Chengyang, a Taoist Association of China. 1999, approved by the State Bureau of Religious Affairs and the Chinese Taoist Association, he was invited to give lectures and preach in Spain, becoming the first Taoist priest in China to explore Taoism in the west. In order to carry forward Chinese culture and introduce Taoism to the world, Taoist Tian Chengyang preached and taught in Spain to solve doubts, bravely explored and started a business with difficulty. In May, 20001year, Catalan Taoist Association was established in Barcelona, Spain. On February 22nd, the same year, the first Taoist temple in Europe was inaugurated. Tian Daochang is not only good at preaching in Spanish, but also officially published his Spanish manuscript Conocer El Taoísmo》(Ed. Kairós) was published in 2003, which is the first Taoist exposition written by Taoist China directly in Spanish, and it sells well in Europe and America.

With the gradual rise of the Chinese nation in the world, Taoism, which represents the root of China's ancient culture, has attracted much attention in the west, and has gradually gained the recognition and belief of different nationalities overseas, proving that Taoism is as brilliant as heaven, and Tzu Chi is all over the world. Although the existing Jing Gong Taoist Temple in Spain is already the ancestral home of Taoism in Europe, it is inconvenient for learners in western countries because of its narrow space, insufficient accommodation conditions and its location in downtown areas. In order to spread Buddhism to the whole world, the Spanish Taoist Association and the Taoist associations and believers in France, Switzerland and other countries and regions actively responded to Tian Chengyang's ambition and prepared to set up the "European Taoist Federation". They plan to build a large-scale Jing Gong Taoist Temple with the traditional architectural style of China on the Barcelona Mountain, which will be the center of Taoism in Europe and the holy place of learning Taoism in the world. Provide places for Taoist scholars from all over the world to live, practice, lecture, preach, maintain health, practice meditation, retreat, study and exchange, and accept the extensive unity and exchange of international religious circles by religious people from all over the world to praise harmonious order and promote global peace.
