Why is New Year's Eve less and less fun for people nowadays?

As a 90-year-old, I have personally experienced the process of the New Year's flavor from strong to faint. I think there are several reasons that lead to the taste of New Year's from strong to weak:

1, the accelerated process of urbanization. The acceleration of urbanization process, so that more and more people leave their hometowns to work in the city, unable to go home for the New Year, resulting in the gradual dilution of the traditional New Year's custom.

2. The gradual loss of traditional culture. Modern life is fast-paced, people pay more and more attention to efficiency and practicality, traditional culture has been put on the back burner, and people attach less importance to traditional Chinese New Year customs.

3. Changes in the values of the younger generation. With the rise of the younger generation, their views and attitudes towards festivals have changed. They pay more attention to freedom, individuality and diversity, and begin to show a cold and indifferent attitude towards traditional New Year's festivals.

4, the improvement of economic conditions. With the development of social economy, people's living standard has been significantly improved, many people no longer need to rely on New Year's goods and New Year's Eve dinner to meet their material needs, and therefore no longer attach as much importance to these traditional New Year's traditions as before.

My experience and feelings are:

When I was a child, the atmosphere of Chinese New Year was very strong, and every family was busy preparing New Year's goods, cleaning, putting up Spring Festival couplets and so on, which was very lively. However, with the accelerated urbanization and changes in people's lifestyles, more and more people are choosing to celebrate the New Year in the city, and the importance of traditional New Year's traditions is gradually diminishing, which makes me feel a bit regretful. Although I am also very busy and can't participate in the whole process as I did when I was a child, I will still go home as much as possible to spend the New Year with my family and try to keep some of the traditional New Year's customs, so that I can feel the warmth of home and the charm of traditional culture.
