Why is water-based floor coating more demanding than traditional floor construction methods?

Due to the demand of floor, the floor has higher wear resistance, corrosion resistance and compression resistance.

The traditional construction method of floor paint is to apply 1-2 topcoats instead of sealing primer. Their requirements for flat land are not too high, and they can be put on the ground after simple treatment, while the requirements for water-based floor paint construction are relatively high. Before floor paint construction, professional construction personnel are needed to inspect and design different floor paint construction schemes according to different ground conditions. Waterborne epoxy floor paint adopts primer, putty layer, inorganic floor paint topcoat and mineral varnish for layered construction, because the use of primer, putty and topcoat can make the ground after waterborne floor paint construction more wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant and compressive. In order to make the epoxy floor more beautiful, some floor paint manufacturers will also apply a layer of varnish on the top coat.

The traditional construction technology of floor paint is relatively simple, mostly spray painting. In addition to the traditional spraying, brushing and roller coating, the construction methods of water-based floor paint, such as scraper coating, serrated trowel coating, trowel coating and high-pressure airless spraying, are also adopted to ensure uniform construction and avoid sagging and scratches. Waterborne epoxy floor coating has excellent operability, and construction tools can also be directly washed with water. It has good adhesion to most substrates, even the surface of wet substrates.
