Opening hours of the National Museum
China National Museum of China, or Guo Bo for short, is located in the east of Tiananmen Square in the center of Beijing, south of East Chang 'an Avenue and symmetrical to the Great Hall of the People. It is the highest institution that collects, studies, displays and explains representative physical evidence that can reflect China's excellent traditional culture, revolutionary culture and advanced socialist culture on behalf of the country, and it is the highest historical and cultural art hall and cultural living room in China.
The predecessor of the National Museum of China can be traced back to the preparatory office of the National History Museum established in the first year of the Republic of China (19 12). Architectural composition
The new China National Museum retains the west, north and south facades of the old museum. The new museum has a total land area of 70,000 square meters, a building height of 42.5 meters, five floors above ground, two floors underground, 48 exhibition halls and a building area of nearly 200,000 square meters. It is the largest museum with single building area in the world.
The building consists of two axes and two areas. These two axes are: the east-west axis from the west gate to the east gate and the north-south axis from south to north. The two areas are: the north-south exhibition area separated by the central hall of the central axis. The west gate faces Tiananmen Square and is opposite to the Great Hall of the People. The north gate faces Chang 'an Avenue. The curator of North and South Art is 260 meters high. There are 368 algae wells with the traditional architectural style of China at the top, and the roof has nearly 20,000 square meters of green space.
