Introduction of Jinan University:

Jinan University is the first government-funded institution of learning for overseas Chinese in China. The word "Jinan" comes from "Shangshu - Yugong": "The east is spreading in the sea, the west is being in the quicksand, ShuoNanJi, the sound of the teaching finished in the four seas."

It means facing the South China Sea and spreading Chinese culture to all continents. The school is currently a national "double first-class" construction university built by the Central United Front Work Department, the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Guangdong Province, and is directly under the management of the Central United Front Work Department.
