How to get married in Germany

Getting married in Germany is no different from China, just follow the local process.

In Germany, couples wear wedding rings on their right hands. The engagement ring is worn on the left hand, although many couples actually give up the engagement ring completely. After marriage, the engagement ring is immediately exchanged with the wedding ring to the right hand, symbolizing the change of social status. Historically, German brides wore black dresses when they wore veils. However, nowadays German brides have adopted a more common tradition of wearing white wedding dresses, and usually do not have to travel long distances.

German brides tend to wear wedding dresses with evening dresses and veils with fingertips. Nowadays, fewer women choose to wear the veil than in the past, but it is still very popular, especially at church weddings. Most importantly, the groom is absolutely forbidden to see the bride before the ceremony. At weddings in Germany, the bride usually wears loose dresses at ceremonies and receptions.

Matters needing attention in wedding

Like many other western countries, in Germany, brides will hold wedding bouquets on special days. This is usually given to her by the groom. After the wedding, the bride throws the bouquet over her shoulders, gives it to a group of unmarried women, and then uses the wedding bouquet. The idea is that the person who receives the bouquet will be the next person to get married. At the end of the wedding, the bride will also distribute white ribbons with bouquets, so that guests can tie white bows on the tentacles of the car and drive to the wedding site.

German traditional groom's clothing is relatively simple, and all-black suit and white shirt is an effective method. Classic tuxedo or tailored formal dress is very suitable for the groom's special day, and the groom has great freedom in tailoring, customization and accessories.
