Why are civet cats unlucky?

Some people think that civet cats are evil cats and it will be unlucky to keep them at home. This statement is mostly because civets like to whine in the middle of the night. Hearing the piercing cry of cats in the middle of the night, coupled with the gray and black color of civets, makes many people feel very strange, so civets are evil and can attract ghosts.
