How much do you know about fashion design?

Three elements of clothing design and the concept of overall beauty of clothing, modeling, color and material are the three elements of clothing design.

(A) Font and fashion design

Clothing modeling can be divided into external modeling and internal modeling. External modeling mainly refers to the silhouette of clothing, while internal modeling refers to the internal style of clothing, including structural lines, darts, collars, bags and so on.

Clothing appearance is the main body of design, and the internal modeling design should conform to the style characteristics of the overall appearance, and the internal and external modeling should complement each other. It is necessary to avoid abandoning the appearance style and blindly pursuing the meticulous carving of the internal shape, because this will have the opposite effect of usurping the role of the master and fragmentation.

1. Fashion design as a visual art, fashion design can give people a deep impression, and fashion design is in the primary position in the overall fashion design. The silhouette of clothing can be summarized into four basic types: A, H, X and Y. A few changes and modifications on the basis of the basic type can produce a variety of shapes, such as tent line and trumpet line on the basis of A type, and modifying H, Y and X type can produce more interesting silhouette. ..

The change of contour line is a remarkable feature of the evolution of popular styles, such as tent modeling popular in 1950s, wine glass modeling popular in 1960s, inverted triangle popular in 1970s, rectangle popular in late 1970s and early 1980s, and rounded inverted triangle popular in recent years, as shown in figure 1-9. The designer's coping style has keen observation and analysis ability, so as to predict or guide the future fashion trend. Even if the shape of clothing is ever-changing, it is inseparable from the basic shape of human body, and the main parts that determine the change of shape lines are shoulders, waist and bottom edge. For example, the waist is an important part of clothing modeling, in which the tightness of the waist and the height of the waistline are the main factors affecting the modeling. The change from loose waist to tight waist can directly affect the change from H type to X type. H-shape is free and concise, and X-shape is slender and graceful. Different changes of waist line height can form high-waist, middle-waist, low-waist and other clothes, and the change of waist line height can directly change the proportion of clothes and express different dress tastes.

2. The interior design of clothing mainly includes the design of structural line, collar type, sleeve type and parts.

The structural line of clothing has the characteristics of shaping the appearance of clothing, adapting to human body shape and being easy to process, which is of great significance in the structural design of clothing and is a structural line design in a certain sense.

The structural line of clothing refers to the lines that are reflected in the splicing parts of clothing and constitute the overall shape of clothing, mainly including dart lines, pleat lines, editing lines and decorative lines. Structural lines can be classified as straight lines, arcs and curves, regardless of complexity. Because the human body is three-dimensional composed of undulating curved surfaces, in order to show the three-dimensional effect on the plane fabric, it is necessary to remove the redundant parts. In addition to using the plasticity of fabrics for wet heat setting, this goal is generally achieved mainly through the setting of darts and pleats. The province is fixed by sewing, and it can be divided into chest province, waist province, shoulder province, back province and breech province according to different positions. Among them, breast saving is the most critical and important factor for women's wear. According to the change of style, the chest dart has different forms, which are mainly transferred by prototype dumping and cutting and folding, as shown in figure 1- 10. For example, cut the chest dart from the place where the chest dart is collected to the chest dart, and regard the chest dart as a point. When the armpit dart is folded, the position of the cutting line is shifted, and the transfer of the chest dart is completed.

When it is at rest, it is more varied and dynamic, but when the human body moves, it is open. Its design is mainly decorative, generally including folds, fine crepes and natural folds.

The function of thread cutting is to divide the clothes into several parts from the perspective of aesthetic modeling, and then sew up the ready-made clothes in order to fit and look good. Clip lines can be divided into six basic forms: vertical segmentation, horizontal segmentation, diagonal segmentation, arc segmentation, arc variation segmentation and asymmetric segmentation.

According to different styles and human characteristics, the garment structure design can make the garment shape more colorful by skillfully using pleats and cutting lines and fully considering the unity and coordination of internal and external structural lines.

The structural design of clothing also includes the design of collar and sleeves. Collar is an important part of clothing, which is not only functional, but also decorative. Its main components are: the shape of the collar line, the height of the collar seat, the shape of the broken line, the shape of the collar profile and the decoration of the collar tip. Collar type is the most changed part, mainly including standing collar, pleated collar, flat collar and lapel. The shape of the rotator cuff is also very rich, including armholes and sleeves. Common sleeve types can be divided into three categories: raglan sleeve, sleeve fitting and sleeve cutting. The design of collar and sleeves should conform to the overall shape of clothing and the temperament characteristics of people. The design of parts in clothing structure mainly includes pocket design, button design, decoration design and so on. Among them, the common decorative techniques in decorative design are embroidery, inlay, inlay, rolling, swinging, board and so on.

(B) color and clothing design

Scientists point out that people are far more sensitive to color than to shape, so color plays a very important role in fashion design. When studying the application of color in fashion design, we should first understand some basic knowledge of color.

1. The color world is rich and colorful, but it can't be expressed by color without the deployment of three basic colors: red, yellow and cyan. These three colors cannot be mixed with other colors, so they are called "primary colors". A color that is a mixture of two primary colors is called an "intermediate color", for example, red and yellow tones are mixed into orange, and yellow and cyan are mixed into green. Two kinds? Intermediate color? Or the combination of primary colors and intermediate tones forms complex colors.

The ever-changing colors can be divided into two categories: color system and achromatic system. All levels of black, white and black-and-white gray belong to achromatic color system. White is the highest level of brightness and black is the lowest level of brightness. All colors except achromatic belong to the color system. The color of color system consists of hue, lightness and purity.

Hue: The names of different colors are called hues, such as red, lake blue and medium yellow. Tone is the most important feature of color. According to the order of hue, it can be circularly arranged into a color ring. In the ever-changing color world, the diversity of tones is the primary factor.

Brightness: it is the property of color brightness change, which is caused by the difference of the amount of light reflected by various color objects.

Purity: Also known as chroma and saturation, it is the purity of a color. Red, orange, yellow, green, cyan and purple separated from the spectrum are standard pure colors. The higher the purity, the brighter the color.

2. Color and Fashion Design People's reaction to color is strong, but not everyone thinks the same. Therefore, the choice and collocation of colors in fashion design should fully consider the age, personality, cultivation, interest and temperament of different objects, and also consider people's different emotional reactions to colors under the influence of different society, politics, economy, culture, art, customs and traditional living habits. For example, China has always advocated yellow, believing that yellow is a symbol of heaven and earth, which endows yellow with majestic, luxurious and sacred associations. However, in Christian countries, yellow is regarded as the color of Judas' clothes, a symbol of meanness and shame. Therefore, the color design of clothing should be targeted positioning design.

In the design, the form of TINT is directly related to the shaping of the overall style of clothing. Designers can use a set of high-purity contrast colors to express warm tropical customs; You can also express the elegant and simple style of clothing through a group of similar TINT with low chroma. The most commonly used color matching methods in fashion design are: similar color matching, approximate color matching, contrast color matching and relative color matching.
