A simple course for ears
Easy to understand ear structure diagram! Painting ears does not violate!
First, let's understand the structure of the ear.
Helix, antihelix, concha cavity and three basic structures. As long as these three parts are well drawn, the ear can be well drawn.
spiral
The helix is the edge of the ear.
It is C-shaped, and the earlobe is also included in the helix.
In addition, the size of the earlobe varies from person to person.
antihelix
The "right spiral" is on the inside of the earring.
It is characterized by bending and looks like a twisted Y-shape.
It is connected with an ear protuberance called an ear bead and can be used as a cover for ear holes.
As the antihelix gradually goes down, it will become a small protrusion called a bead.
Ear cavity
The part corresponding to the ear hole.
It's the part in the shadow when you draw the ear.
Ear position
There are ears at the temples.
On the far right is the deviation between the chin position and the ear position, so it is a bad example.
Draw with the crosshair on your face as an aid.
Depending on the face direction, the direction of the crosshair will also change.
Ears are as high as eyes.
Try to draw a pair of glasses and realize that there are ears in the temple.
The height of the ear, the edge of the upper side of the ear is the same as the eyebrow, so it is easy to understand if you draw the lower side based on the tip of the nose.
However, if it is a girl cartoon with big eyes, the position of the ears will drop sharply and the ears will become too big, so pay attention.
Different angles of the ear
The appearance of ears will change with different angles.
From the front, you can't see the ear hole. Looks like the ear beads are covered.
If you look at it from another angle, you can see the ear hole well.
Viewed from the side, the position of the ear is in the middle of the head.
Ear beads and earlobes are thick and round, and other parts are cartilage.
The roots of the ears are hidden behind the cheekbones. If you look at the ear from the back, you will see the root of the trapezoid.
Simple 3-step drawing sequence of ears
Even if they want to paint ears, many people "don't know where to start painting" and simply teach them in order.
1. Draw from the spiral line that becomes the outline of the ear.
At this point, draw a double line on the upper part and the part touching the spiral line.
In addition, if you imagine a shape like a hook, it is easy to understand.
2. Draw a diamond on the earlobe.
This is the ear hole part and the ear hole cover part.
Draw this word on the diamond as an earring.
3. The green part of the helix is characterized by bending and looks like a twisted Y-shape.
Draw a Y from the earlobe to the inside of the helix.
