Was there a strong sense of space in the early days of landscape painting
The sense of space in the early stage of landscape painting is not strong.
In the early stage of landscape painting, painters mainly expressed their emotions and moods by depicting concrete images of natural scenery. They focused on the direct depiction of natural landscapes rather than deliberately creating a sense of space. Works of this period were often dominated by flat and distant compositions, with relatively concentrated elements in the picture, without clear perspective relationships and changes in light and shadow, so the sense of space was not strong.
With the passage of time and the continuous progress of painting techniques, the sense of space in landscape painting gradually increased. Painters began to focus on using perspective, light and shadow, color and other elements to create a sense of space, making the picture more three-dimensional and richly layered. For example, Ma Yijiao and Xia Hanbian from the Southern Song Dynasty expressed the sense of space by intercepting a part of the natural scenery, making the picture more deep and layered.
Expression techniques of landscape painting:
1. Brushwork: There are many different brushstrokes used in landscape painting, including center brush, side brush, smooth brush, reverse brush, hidden brush, exposed brush, gathering brush, scattered brush, etc. These brushstrokes can be used to outline the objects. These strokes can be used to outline the object, point moss, paint the surface, chapping and dyeing. Among them, the center stroke is the most widely used, and is often used to outline objects. Side strokes are mostly used for the chapping of rocks and the horizontal dyeing of trees. Scattered strokes are mostly used for painting rocks, trees, chafing and dyeing, and the effect is quite good because of the situation.
2, ink method: the ink method of landscape painting is divided into ink splash method, ink accumulation method and broken ink method. Splash ink method is to use a broad brush dipped in ink to write in broad strokes, so that the ink and color can produce a variety of changes. Ink accumulation method is to use light ochre as a base and add ink color layer by layer to increase the pallor and heaviness of the picture. Broken ink method is to add the second ink before the first ink dries, can be heavy ink broken light ink, can also be light ink broken heavy ink, which is characterized by the intensity, dryness and wetness of each other broken.
3, color method: the color of landscape painting has light red, green and boneless. Among them, green landscape has Jinbi, big green and small green. The light green landscape is based on the completed hook, chapped, dotted and dyed ink brush landscape with light ochre to indicate the atmosphere and color of the mountains, rivers and trees. Boneless landscape is not directly with the color painting, but with the pen, ink is more difficult, and now rarely seen, sometimes in the painting of distant mountains can also be tried.
