During the Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty, Yiyang tune flowed into Qingyang area, which was combined with local dialects and folk songs to form Qingyang tune. Qingyang Opera inherited the foot color system of ancient Southern Opera, including seven lines: longevity, Dan, purity, end, ugliness, westernization and paste, and later added two foot colors: Xiao and Fu.
