Brief introduction of Beijing Tongchuntang Chinese Medicine Hospital

Tongchuntang was founded in 1609 (Wanli period of Ming Dynasty) by Liu, a physician of Ming Dynasty. Liu Yuduo, the imperial physician in Qing Dynasty who presided over the compilation of Jin Jian of Medical Zong, is the third generation descendant of Tongchuntang. Two generations of doctors are highly respected by the royal family for their superb medical skills. "Tongchuntang" was named as a royal gift of Emperor Wanli. Emperor Qianlong personally gave the "Tongchuntang" a plaque.

After the changes of the times, Tongchuntang has not been spared the impact of various turmoil and disasters. However, the descendants of Tongchuntang, with their wisdom and loyalty to their ancestors, tried their best to preserve the ancestral medical classics and diagnosis and treatment prescriptions. Liu Huixin, a descendant of the seventh generation, took the opportunity to revive Tongchuntang.

Out of love for TCM and concern for human sufferings, Liu Hui devoted himself to study, laid a solid foundation of TCM knowledge, combined ancestral prescriptions with modern medicine, relieved the suffering of tens of thousands of patients with superb medical skills, and made Tongchuntang famous. Liu Hui founded Tongchuntang Dermatology Hospital in Changchun in 2006 and Beijing Tongchuntang Chinese Medicine Hospital in Beijing in 2008.

Under the leadership of Dean Liu Hui, the academic leader, the hospital has set up a number of gold medal treatment teams: psoriasis treatment team, allergic diseases such as eczema and dermatitis treatment team, vitiligo treatment team, folliculitis treatment team and acne treatment team, aiming to relieve the pain for more patients with dermatoses. The hospital has domestic leading equipment such as allergen detection, fungus culture, 308 excimer laser therapeutic instrument and UVB phototherapy instrument, which has the conditions to relieve the pain for more patients.
