What kind of drama is Mulan?

Mulan is the representative work of Henan Opera.

Mulan is a Henan opera adapted by playwright and Wang according to Mulan Joining the Army. The lead singer was Chang Xiangyu, a master of Henan Opera. Later, Peking Opera masters Mei Lanfang, Xu Biyun and Yan Huizhu all performed. 1957 made into a Henan opera film.

1956 10, changchun film studio made Mulan, a Henan opera, into a national opera art film. From June 5438 to 10, 2007, Mulan, a large-scale Henan opera adapted from Chang Xiangyu version of Mulan, was staged in Shangqiu, the hometown of Mulan.

Features of Henan Opera:

Henan Opera, one of the five major operas in China, originated in Henan Province, ranking first in China.

Henan Opera is famous for its sonorous singing, moderate intonation, clear articulation, mellow charm, liveliness, flesh and blood, and being good at expressing the inner feelings of characters. It is widely welcomed by people from all walks of life because of its high artistry.

Henan Opera was named "Henan Bangzi" because it was equipped with jujube bangzi in the early stage. It is developed through continuous reform and innovation on the basis of inheriting Henan Bangzi, and ranks as the third largest drama in China alongside Beijing Opera and Yue Opera.
