Where is the traditional culture of lion dance?

Lion dance is an excellent folk art in China, commonly known as "Taiping Music" in ancient times. Lion dance can be divided into north and south. Southern Lion refers to lion awakening, which is also one of the traditional cultures in China.

Lions are made of colored strips of cloth. Generally, each lion will be performed by two people, one at the beginning and the other at the end of the dance. Performers dress up as lions under the rhythm of gongs and drums, and then make various movements of lions. Lion dancers should show southern martial arts and show masculinity with all kinds of moves they have learned. The northern lion looks like a real lion, with a simple head and golden hair all over. Lion dancers (usually two people dancing at one end) will put hair on their trousers and shoes and look like lifelike lions before dancing. The lion with a red knot on his head is a male and the green one is a female. The northern lion shows flexible movements, which is different from the southern lion. Lion dance is mainly performed by turning, rolling, jumping, flapping, falling and grabbing.
