Discuss the culturological basis of Chinese martial arts and its modern social value (not less than 1500 words)

From the anthropological theories of cultural adaptation and cultural self-awareness, the phenomenon and causes of the change of martial arts culture in the process of modern development are analyzed. It is pointed out that the deep root of the change of Chinese martial arts culture is the two-way appeal of nationalism and modernization, and its direct impetus comes from the conflict between Eastern and Western cultures. The contradiction between the oriental character of wushu culture and the Olympic Movement's regulation of sports is the main contradiction that drives the change of Chinese wushu culture. In the process of adaptive change, wushu culture also brought some problems and paid its own price. At the same time when the culture of wushu is changing, the mechanism of identifying with the tradition of wushu is being formed, which is not only a cultural strategy for deconstructing the hegemonic narrative of Western sports, but also a basis for Chinese wushu to find its present position and future development. At this stage, we must continue to develop competitive wushu, but we also need to pay more attention to the identification of traditional wushu and the rational return, and at the same time pay attention to the cooperation with the mass media.

In recent years, the scientific development of Chinese wushu has been one of the focuses of wushu research. Along with the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games bidding activities, the Olympic strategy research on Chinese wushu also once constituted a prominent landscape in the development of contemporary wushu. Nowadays, when the bidding for the Olympic Games has been temporarily rejected and the development of wushu has been temporarily restored, the issue of the strategic direction of the development of Chinese wushu has aroused the deep thoughts of people from all walks of life who care about Chinese wushu.
