Characteristics of Shanghai Bund Architecture

The essence of the Bund lies in these Bund buildings called "World Architecture Expo". Some people say that "the story of the Bund is the story of going to Shanghai." The reinforced concrete buildings on the Bund do not tell the fantastic prosperity of the old Shanghai Beach.

It starts from Baidu Bridge outside Suzhou Estuary in the north and ends at Jindong Road in the south, with a total length of about 1500m. The famous Bank of China Building, Peace Hotel, Customs Building and HSBC Building reproduce the style of "Far East Wall Street". Although these buildings are not from the same designer or built in the same period, their architectural colors are basically unified and the overall outline is surprisingly coordinated.

Known as "the first floor of the Bund", it was built at 1906, formerly known as Mai Bo En Building. The building is eight stories high, with a building area of 1 1984 square meters and an area of 1739 square meters. The appearance of this building is eclectic. The elevation is three horizontal sections and three vertical sections. The bottom and top sections are baroque, and the middle section is modernism. The building is magnificent, and there is no lack of atmosphere in simplicity.
