An overview of the band of the traffic band

The Jiaogong Band (1999-23) was established in 1999, and it was composed of several young people who returned from Meinong, such as Lin Shengxiang. This group of young people was deeply rooted in Meinong's local culture and went to the countryside and traditions to learn and feel Hakka music culture and life. In 1999, the members of the traffic band returned to the studio of Yanlou in Mino and began to record the "Anti-American Dense Reservoir Album". The folks in Meinong regard the recording of this album as a major event in their home, and in the spirit of "handover class", they contributed money and provided the best production conditions for this album "We'll Sing Folk Songs". After the completion of the album, everyone decided to work harder to learn the progressive spirit from "Jiaogong", so the band was named "Jiaogong Band".

They used traditional musical instruments such as gong, drum, suona, yueqin and sanxian, based on the Hakka eight-tone music style in traditional Hakka folk songs, added some elements of Taiwan Province aboriginal music and Taiwanese opera, and combined with modern rock music to create new Hakka folk songs that echoed the real society. They often express real scenes, people and their deep life experiences, and sing the real living conditions and struggle stories of the Hakka people at the bottom of Meinong.

In the early days, it was paid attention to because it opposed the construction of Meinong Reservoir. In 2, after Chen Shui-bian announced that the construction of Meinong Reservoir would be suspended during his term of office, the symphony orchestra began to pay attention to the theme of farmers and rural areas, and the music form became more and more mature.

In the development history of Taiwan Province's popular music in the 199s, the symphony orchestra was not only regarded as the most important orchestra spanning the 2th century to the 21st century in the cultural circle, but also regarded by many music critics as "the music team that marked the milestone of Taiwan Province's new music creation era".

In the 2 Golden Melody Awards Ceremony, Jiaogong Band shined brilliantly, and won two important awards, namely, the Best Composer Award and the Best Producer Award, by borrowing "Let's Sing Folk Songs". Just as everyone was surprised by the musical works produced from the Smoke House in the United States, Jiaogong Band represented Taiwan Province and participated in the World Music Festival held in Taiwan Province for the first time, making international music with Hakka new folk songs with Taiwan Province local colors and music groups from eight countries and ten groups around the world. Not only won applause from all walks of life in Taizhu Bay, but also won the recognition of international music critics. In 21, he was invited to participate in the Czech Respekt Music Festival, the Belgian Gent Folk Festival and the Belgian Brugge World Music Festival, and performed in the historic and important stage of New Morning in Paris, France. These experiences have written a new page for the history of Taiwan Province's music development!

But then the band broke up because of different musical ideas.

The traffic band calls itself "the microphone of workers". And this microphone is not only for communication and appreciation, but also for action. From the perspective of anti-reservoir, the symphony orchestra created and invited the people of Meinung to participate in the recording and singing of anti-reservoir songs, which inspired the people of Meinung to fight. In addition, the symphony orchestra's shocking and moving power to the outside world and the social influence brought by winning the Golden Melody Award twice greatly promoted the mobilization of social resources outside the anti-reservoir movement. Handout music restores the marginalized vulnerable ethnic group-grass-roots workers to fresh people, which is truly recorded and reproduced, making it a glue and firmly bonding the * * * experience and memory of Meinong Hakka. Give birth to the sense of collective unity of Hakka people and arouse their recognition and pride in Hakka culture.
