The Analects of Confucius, written in the language of "loving the people and benevolence", is a basic content of China's traditional morality. Confucius said, "Disciples are filial, and younger brothers are younger. They sincerely believe that they love people all the time, but they are kind. "Love the people and be kind to others" has become the highest realm of standing and learning.

"erudite and practical" is how to practice the methodology of "loving people and being kind". In response to Chapter 19 of The Doctrine of the Mean, it says, "Be knowledgeable and interrogate, think carefully, distinguish clearly and stick to it." This is about several levels of learning, or several progressive stages. "erudition" means that in order to learn, we must first search widely and cultivate rich and exuberant curiosity. "Bo" also means broad and inclusive. So erudition can be the first stage of learning, interrogation is the second stage, reflection is the third stage, debate is the fourth stage, and perseverance is the last stage of learning. "Dedication" means loyalty, firmness, singleness and perseverance. Only people with clear goals and firm will can truly "persevere". Taking "erudition and perseverance" as the school motto is not just taking the words "erudition" and "perseverance", but the internal unity, connection and interaction process from "erudition" to "perseverance" including "interrogation, careful thinking and discernment". Civil affairs people should be "old and old, and people are old; We are still young, we are still young. It is our responsibility to "be a family in the world".
