Tao Te Ching
Tao Te Ching is one of the greatest masterpieces in Chinese history, which has had a profound impact on traditional philosophy, science, politics and religion. The following is what I have compiled for you about Tao Te Ching, welcome to read it!
Part 1: After reading Tao Te ChingRecently I am reading a very philosophical book - Tao Te Ching, to object enjoyment you have to rely on money, and to spiritual enjoyment you have to rely on the Tao, Taoism preaches the unity of heaven and man, the God swims in the Taixu, and Tao Te Ching is a perfect explanation of this The first thing you need to do is to get a good deal of money.
The Tao Te Ching is a book of only five thousand words, but every word is a gem. Let's take the first sentence: "The Way is the Way, but it is not the Way." It's easy to understand that if you can say it, it's not really the way. But do you understand the deeper meaning? There is a little story in the Tao Te Ching: There is a big tree in Chu called "Chao Sheng", for whom 4,000 years is just a spring.
In the state of Yue, there was a turtle called "Mure Mushroom", for which 4,000 years is just a few hours. But people think that Peng Zu had a long life, living 800 years, but he was compared to the "morning life", "evening fungus", is not it a very short life? If people in ancient times called the sky "Yi" and the earth "Xi", then now the sky is Yi and the earth is Xi. So he tells us that names are nothing, do not try to force hierarchical names, and it is better to let nature take its course, isn't it? See, a short sentence can have such a profound truth.
It is also written in the Tao Te Ching that Lao Zi, after writing the Tao Te Ching and handing it over to Yin Xi, said to Yin Xi before he left the gate, "After you finish reading it, you have to forget the Tao Te Ching all together before you can do it." This is even more unexpected, and should be memorized! It is precisely because the text binds the deep truth, so you have to forget the text to see the deep truth.
The Sixth Patriarch Huineng, who was an abbot but could not read, said, "I am pointing my finger at the moon, and it is the moon you want to see, not my hand, which is used to guide you to the moon." Indeed, words are only used to set off deep reasoning.
Now, realize the vastness of the Tao? The Tao is all around us, but it cannot be seen, heard, smelled or touched. It can only be experienced with the heart, and the Tao Te Ching is such a tool for experiencing the Tao.
Part II: "Tao Te Ching"Laozi's "Tao", in fact, is not as many people say so mysterious, it refers to: the material world and the spiritual world of the reasons for change and the law - the laws of nature. It refers to the causes and laws of changes in the material and spiritual worlds - the laws of nature.
The debate about whether the Tao is material or spiritual is superficial and belongs to the category of appearance.
The so-called laws of nature: it is the law of nature, is not subject to human subjective will for the transfer of the objective form of movement. People can only recognize it through practice, use it, but can not change it, otherwise, will be punished by the laws of nature.
Such as: birth, old age, disease, death is the natural law of life. Doctors can only see the disease, can not save the life, if they can save the life, the world's doctors are not all become gods and goddesses? But there are many people who do not understand this, or do not want to believe this simple truth. In particular, many ancient emperors, superstitious charlatans, taking what "elixir", in a vain attempt to live forever, the result is poisoned, but in vain.
"Unity of opposites" is the natural law of things, and is one of the points that Laozi repeatedly emphasized and proved. The so-called unity of opposites, not a single thing of the opposition and unity, not things simply divided into two, but the countless opposites are intertwined and interdependent, influence, change, conversion, constituting a dynamic, colorful world. The idea of "doing nothing" is the basis of Lao Zi's philosophy of "taking advantage of the situation and letting nature take its course.
"The opposite of what is extreme" is the natural law of the movement of things. Laozi repeatedly emphasized and proved another point of view. For example: pendulum, you say it is on the left? Right? Middle? It is not easy to say? This is because the pendulum we see is only its position at a certain point in time. Things such as the pendulum, people see things, but it is only in a certain period of time in the movement of the appearance. Since things are constrained by themselves and related factors, they can only operate within a certain range, therefore, - what goes around comes around. People thus mistakenly think that impartiality, "the middle way" is the most rational, but do not know that the "middle" is only a transient phenomenon of a certain period of time in the process of the movement of things. May I ask who, what, what, what, can always maintain or stay in the "middle" above? There is none! And there can never be!
"Imbalance and movement" is the natural law of the cause of things, is the driving force of the universe. We all know: things are moving, but why move? I am afraid that few people know the reason. Modern scientific research found that: matter is infinitely divisible, we see today's matter, in fact, is a complex of countless substances, from a body, to similar objects, and even the entire universe, their interdependence, constraints, influence, change, small to the elemental cycle, large to the celestial body operation, and even the birds fly, human walking, car driving, etc., and so on, all so: imbalance - - balance, and then imbalance - - balance, and then imbalance - - balance -balance, and then imbalance - re-balance, cycle after cycle, constituting a unity of opposites, colorful and beautiful world. Imbalance is eternal, lasting, balance is local, temporary. This is true of the material world, but is it not true of the spiritual world? Looking at the world: small to interpersonal relationships, large to the national political situation and even the international situation, can not be outside.
Water flows downhill, which is a natural law of water that people are familiar with. It is also a form of movement of water in the norm. But there are exceptions, such as: water will become a gas when heated, will run high; then: water can be suspended in space, which is due to the water from the Earth's gravity. The above two phenomena, it is not the general law of water can be covered. From this we can see: the laws of nature are also conditional. The same thing, time, space and environment change, the law will also change. This is the "law" of the law.
Laozi cloud: "Tao can be Tao, very Tao". "Man is the law of the earth, the law of the earth is the law of the sky, the law of the sky is the law of the road, and the law of the road is the law of nature". People only through their own senses, comprehensive understanding and systematic analysis of objective things, and then grasp the laws of nature, the use of natural laws, but not against the laws of nature, the situation, let nature take its course, is the earth's "right way".
Part III: "Tao Te Ching"Chinese culture, long history, profound and profound. Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism culture is inherited for thousands of years, known as the crystallization of the Chinese people's thinking, and the book "Tao Te Ching" is a concentrated summary of Taoist culture.
Tao Te Ching, also known as Laozi, was written by Laozi when he left Hangu Pass in the west. It is divided into two chapters, Tao Te Ching and Tao Te Ching, and many of its sayings have long been known.
Here, I would like to emphasize one point: knowledge is not the more the better, nor the deeper the better, but it should be matched with the ability to master knowledge. To be honest, I really don't dare to comment on the Tao Te Ching, but I just like to read, copy and memorize it. Below I would like to share some of my own feelings after reading the Tao Te Ching, and I hope to encourage you with your ****!
"Tao can be Tao, very Tao". I believe that we have all heard this sentence, which is the opening sentence of the Tao Te Ching, it seems that Laozi did not want to say anything, because the Tao that can be said is not the constant Tao. That's right! Words always seem to be stretched when describing many profound things, and Lao Tzu tells us in the opening chapter: don't limit yourself to words and language. As the Buddhist saying goes: teach something else, don't set up words, point directly to the heart, see the nature and become Buddha.
Lao Tzu mentions "babies" a few times in the text, for example: "For the world Xi, the constant virtue is not separated, but returned to the baby". Laozi tells us to learn from babies, but many people are reluctant to learn from those who are less senior than them, which is actually a big waste of resources. Babies do not have any stereotypes, so they learn everything the fastest. The fastest way to learn a foreign language is to mimic it, and that's exactly what babies do; we always say "empty cup mentality", and that's exactly what babies do.
"The crooked is whole, the crooked is straight, the crooked is full, the crooked is new, the crooked is new, the crooked is gained, the crooked is confused." So many times, I feel that the wisdom of Laozi is contrary to the thinking of ordinary people, but a closer look, but contains a deep . Philosophy. We often say: to be a man, you must be able to bend and stretch, and Han Xin did it. Only when you put yourself very low every day can you learn something. This is just like the Buddhist saying: Empty in order to have, put down in order to bear. So many times we are unable to make a choice because there are too many choices to make, just as there are so many channels on TV that we seldom watch a program in its entirety. Too many choices tend to confuse people so much that they end up accomplishing nothing. After too many times, we need to have Xiang Yu the kind of courage to break the boat, in fact, life is like a white horse, less choice is often a good thing.
The benevolent man enjoys the mountains, and the wise man enjoys the water. The "Tao Te Ching" said several times to the water, such as "good as water", "the world is not soft in the water, and the strong attackers can not win". Water is the source of life, and it benefits everything without asking for anything in return. The wisdom of "water dripping over a stone" makes us understand what "softness is better than strength". Water is invisible, but put the water into what container, it will become what shape, so the invisibility of water is the shape, Bruce Lee in the interception of boxing in the "can not win the law, to infinity to win the finite" is exactly the same with this way. So Laozi told us to learn the wisdom of water.
A "self-knowledge of the wise, self-successful strong" contains endless deep meaning. People should know themselves, but the fact is: too many people mantis or presumptuous, very often, we will find themselves playing the role of their own is exactly the most hate the person! So every day we must continue to overcome ourselves, beyond themselves, as the "I Ching" said: Tian Xing Jian, gentleman to self-improvement. The biggest enemy is ourselves, so the real strong man is the one who overcomes himself.
Reading is full of fun, and reading Tao Te Ching, a book full of philosophy, is even more fun. The old saying: "the book has its own Yan Ruyu, the book has its own golden house", "read a million volumes, the pen as God", "read the book, etc., can be up to a million male division", and I think, reading To be selective, at the same time to be able to stand in the author's point of view to think about the problem, learn to empathize. In addition, the most important point is: the use of knowledge is the main body of people, because "soldiers are not always, water is not always shape, the use of the wonderful, exist in one heart".
Finally, I would like to say: reading is a kind of communication, reading is a kind of enjoyment, reading is a way of life.
