Disadvantages: insufficient investment in science and technology, single industry, serious pollution and insufficient fresh water resources.

The advantages of developing industry are: ① rich resources; ② Strong technical force; ③ Developed transportation; ④ Developed agricultural production.

Disadvantages: insufficient water resources and overpopulation in cities.

The advantages of developing industry are: ① abundant resources; ② Strong technical force; ③ Unified power grid; ④ Developed land, sea and air traffic.

Disadvantages: insufficient mineral resources such as coal and oil.

Pearl River Delta Industrial Base

Advantages of industrial development: ① Location advantages: Located on the southeast coast of China with convenient transportation; Close to Hong Kong, Macao and Southeast Asia, it is convenient to introduce foreign capital and develop industries in this area; ② Human factors: many places are hometown of overseas Chinese, which is convenient for introducing overseas Chinese capital; (3) Policy factors: The state implements reform and opening up to encourage and support the industrial development in the Pearl River Delta region.

Disadvantages: insufficient mineral resources such as coal and oil.
