What are the five types of consumers?
Consumers, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) believes that consumers are individual members of society who buy and use goods and services for personal consumption. Consumers are different from producers or sellers. He or she must be the end user of products and services, not the producer or operator. In other words, his or her purpose of buying goods is mainly for personal or family needs rather than business or sales, which is the most essential feature of consumers.
As consumers, their consumption activities include not only buying and using products for personal and family life needs, but also accepting services provided by others for personal and family life needs. But whether buying and using goods or receiving services, its purpose is only to meet the needs of individuals and families, not the needs of production and operation.
Law of the People's Republic of China on Protection of Consumer Rights and Interests
Article 1 This Law is formulated for the purpose of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, maintaining social and economic order and promoting the healthy development of the socialist market economy.
Article 2 The object regulated by this Law-consumers' consumption behavior-consumers' rights and interests in purchasing, using goods or receiving services for their daily consumption needs are protected by this Law; Matters not specified in this Law shall be protected by other relevant laws and regulations.
Article 3 The object of this Law-the business behavior of business operators-business operators shall abide by this Law when providing consumers with the goods or services they produce and sell; Where there are no provisions in this law, other relevant laws and regulations shall be observed.
Article 4 Legislative Principles When conducting transactions with consumers, business operators should follow the principles of voluntariness, equality, fairness, honesty and credibility.
Article 5 Duty of the State to Protect the Legitimate Rights and Interests of Consumers The State protects the legitimate rights and interests of consumers from infringement.
The role of consumers
Because the definition of consumer itself is divided into two aspects, it also has the functions within two concepts. First of all, in the ecosystem, the main function of consumers is to maintain ecological balance, transmit biological information, help organisms grow and reproduce, promote the material cycle of the ecosystem, and help plants pollinate and spread seeds. In the market, the role of consumers is to initiate and influence consumption activities, make purchase decisions, use goods or enjoy services, and promote market consumption balance.
Consumers in the ecosystem mainly refer to all kinds of animals that feed on other organisms, including herbivores, carnivores, omnivores and parasitic animals. Consumers in the market environment refer to individual users and product owners who buy products or services for personal consumption and use.
