Hanbok types

For Hanfu, the common but 襦裙, Curve Train such, and for more kinds, I think many people have only seen pictures and do not know the name and characteristics, today I will give you a brief introduction to some of the types of women's Hanfu.

R襦裙类:

襦, that is, the short blouse, according to the style classification, there is a lapel (also known as straight collar), cross collar (also known as oblique lapel), Tan collar (also known as the U collar), etc.; skirt, that is, the underskirt, usually a one-piece hopscotch skirt, according to the way of production classification, is divided into pleated skirt, piece of skirt, and so on. It is also called half-arm jacket when worn with half-arm. It can be worn with a shawl. Sleeve types are not limited to narrow sleeves, but also straight, wide and broad sleeves.

The jacket is characterized by a short top and a long bottom skirt, which is tied above the waist to show the slenderness of the body. The skirt is belted with a cloth belt or a palace tapestry, without a wide belt or waist seal.

The curved-train gown is a type of deep coat, with the back piece of the bodice picking up the length, and the lengthened bodice forming a triangle. The train is divided into single, double, and triple wraps by the number of wraps around the lapel. The length of the train is divided into long and short trains. It is usually worn with a waistband around the waist and a long belt.

The emergence of the curved train is related to the fact that initially there were no crotchless pants, and the hemline was protected in such a way that it was in line with reason and much more polite, so the curved train was more popular in the pre-Qin and Han Dynasties, when the hakama had not been invented.

The curved train was worn by both men and women.

The straight train is one of the deep garments in the Chinese dress culture system, which appeared as early as the Western Han Dynasty, but could not be used as a formal dress. It is because all the pants in ancient times had no crotch, and only two legs were worn up to the knee position, with a belt tied around the waist on top.

This kind of pants without crotch worn inside, if not covered with outside clothes, pants will be exposed, at that time was regarded as a taboo of etiquette. That is why the outside had to be worn with a curved train. Later, with the improvement of the dress and the increasingly complete dress system, the form of the pants also changed, the appearance of pants with crotch.

Because of the improvement of the underwear, in the pre-Qin and Western Han Dynasty more prevalent around the lapel curved train because of its wearing cumbersome and gradually replaced by a straight train. After the Eastern Han Dynasty, the straight train gradually replaced the curved train and became popular.

The straight train gown is usually a regular dress, not a gown. It can be worn by both men and women. There are long straight train, short straight train, fishtail straight train and other styles.
