Digging a wooden spoon with a hand tool is not very efficient, but it is relatively safe and the threshold is low for a novice to start.

If you're a girl/the tools aren't handy, don't be under the illusion that you can do it as quickly as the internet says. ? Sawing (the most patience-testing step that should be replaced with a power tool)

This step requires a jigsaw or a handsaw like mine. Once you've secured the wood, saw off the excess wood along the graphic you've drawn. Remember, make sure you don't overline along the outside of the graphic or one mistake could break it. The wood has the flexibility to change direction.

The jigsaw is more flexible (pictured above, from the web), and hand sawing is faster. After sawing the front, the sides should also be sawed, be careful not to saw a leaky spoon.

Sandpaper is generally labeled by mesh, the smaller the mesh, the coarser the sand, the initial sanding to use a thicker. The larger the mesh, the smaller the graininess of the sandpaper, the more you can sand out a smooth effect, or even a mirror effect. General sanding to 600Cw is enough, unless you want to achieve a mirror effect, you can use 2000Cw or more sandpaper.

Sandpaper sanding for the purpose of careful observation and hand feel whether the sanding in place, observe the wood grain on whether the finer wood grain is completely covered. Obsessive-compulsive patients must be sanded before changing to a finer mesh, otherwise many traces of the later sanding can not be removed.

Sandpaper sanding tips: buy sanding blocks or sandpaper clips, or use a small block of wood wood pad sandpaper as a sanding sheet, more labor-saving; 600 mesh or more can be wiped with a damp cloth, and then sandpaper sandpaper sandpaper with the next mesh, which is conducive to knock out the burrs.

? Oil (wood wax oil or olive oil, etc.)

Don't use the wood within 24h. It takes time to absorb the oil. It can be completely replaced by various edible non-animal fats and oils.
