One squad carries two heavy machine guns

Weapons have been upgraded again: one squad carries two heavy machine guns, and our army has world-class firepower. Because we suffer from "fear of insufficient firepower", our army has become an army with world-class firepower. Many veteran military fans jokingly call me

The purpose of mechanizing the army is to allow soldiers to carry more machine guns.

Not long ago, our army announced the strongest configuration of a certain plateau unit. This team is not our army’s traditional 9-man infantry squad, but a simplified version of 8-man squad.

Although there are fewer people, the firepower configuration is more violent. This squad carries two Type 89 heavy machine guns and six assault rifles.

Our army's ordinary infantry squad has 9 people, equipped with 7 95 rifles, 1 95 flight aircraft, and 1 120mm anti-tank rocket launcher. In terms of the configuration of the machine gun team alone, our country's rifle squad is mainly equipped with one during peacetime or low-intensity combat.

Support the squad with a machine gun and an assault rifle (secondary shooter).

If there is an emergency mission, an extra flight crew or communication crew will be assigned. After all, there are only 9 people in a squad and there will not be too many machine guns.

Now there is a simplified version of the 8-man squad with upgraded firepower, and the power will be further upgraded.

The Type 89 heavy machine gun is much more powerful than the Type 95 squad machine gun.

Our military has traditionally focused on heavy firepower strikes, and this firepower can be said to be very powerful.

Our army has a configuration in which everyone has a gun, and has a strong ability to continuously output firepower.

Our army's 9-man infantry squad can evenly form three combat groups. The main and deputy machine gunners are organized into a firepower group to provide heavy firepower support. The remaining infantry is mobile firepower.

This is a very standard firepower team + mobile team. The mobile team has enough soldiers and is convenient for recruiting new soldiers.

However, the disadvantage is that a single firepower group can easily be targeted by enemy infantry with grenades and mortars. Frequent transfers will cause firepower interruption and subject the mobile group to counter-suppression.

The 8-man infantry squad carrying heavy machine guns is not a division of firepower + mobility, but a dual firepower team.

Because both firepower groups master heavy machine guns, there is no obvious task distribution like the previous configuration, but the two cover each other.

If one side suppresses, the other side will maneuver, and vice versa.

In fact, decentralizing heavy machine guns to squads is also one of our army's unique tactics.

The Type 89 heavy machine gun has a body of 17.5 kg and a tripod that weighs 8.5 kg, which is much lower than the same type of heavy machine guns in the United States and Russia. After the Type 89 machine gun is disassembled and distributed among the other six soldiers, the weight of the machine gunner is still within the acceptable range.

.

On the complex and changeable battlefield terrain, only the heavy machine gun in hand can bring enough psychological comfort and supporting firepower to the soldiers.

What's more, the Type 89 12.7mm heavy machine gun can also penetrate light armored targets at medium and short range, and can deal with enemy helicopters.

In the future, our army may expand the implementation of the 12-man large squad system, and add a 4-man machine gun team to each 8-man squad to become a specialized machine gun unit, which may become a normal deployment.

The heavy machine gun decentralized to the squad will become another big killer after the 120 rocket launcher.

It can be said that an infantry squad in our army equipped with a 12.7 mm machine gun and a 120-mm rocket launcher has firepower that is completely comparable to that of an opponent's platoon.

Of course, 9-man squads and 8-man squads are two completely different combinations. Of course, each has its own advantages. The personnel establishment of infantry squads has always been a matter of knowledge. What kind of organization is most suitable for the current combat mission, so there is no strongest one.

There is only the most suitable preparation.

Coupled with the rapid development of mechanization, the firepower of mechanized infantry squads will be more powerful and their combat capabilities will be greatly enhanced.
