What kinds of operas are there in Henan? What are the famous ones?

2. Henan Quju

It is a local opera, also known as Henan Opera and Gao Tai Opera. Originated in Nanyang, Henan Province, it is divided into major and minor, with elegant, euphemistic and brisk tunes. Henan Quju is a kind of drama that combines minor and folk stilt singing and dancing. Because the tune is easy to learn, singing with your own voice, performance close to life, spread very quickly.

4. Henan pendant

Originated in Henan, it is a traditional form of Quyi, which is composed of Quyi Daoqing, Yinggeliu and Sanxianshu, which are popular in Henan and northern Anhui. It has a history of about one hundred years. Popular in Henan, Shandong, Anhui, Tianjin, Beijing and other places. Because the main accompaniment instrument is "pendant string" (now called pendant Hu), and it is sung in Henan dialect, it is called Henan pendant. A singer, playing ebony or jujube with his left hand, sings while playing. There are also two duets, one playing the simple board, the other playing the cymbal or the book drum. There are also a few self-pulled and self-sung. The lyrics are basically seven words. The accompaniment plays the piano, and some of them step on the bangzi. In the early days, most of them sang short stories, and some actors sang long stories. Modern theme tracks are all short stories.

5. Daoqing

It is a category of China Quyi varieties. Taoist songs such as Cheng Tian and Jiu Zhen originated in the Tang Dynasty. In the Southern Song Dynasty, it was accompanied by fishing drums and drums, so it was also called Taoist fishing drums. By the Qing Dynasty, Taoism combined with local folk music, forming various forms with the same root and different streams, such as Taikang Taoism, Northern Shaanxi Taoism, Jiangxi Taoism, Yugu in Hubei, Zhu Qin in Sichuan and so on. Taoism focuses on singing, supplemented by speaking. There are many forms of performance, such as sitting singing, standing singing, stand-up singing and mouth-to-mouth singing.
