A little thought on the teaching of ancient poems

A month after the start of the school year, I listened to two ancient poetry teaching classes, respectively, Wang Anshi's "Mooring the Boat to Guazhou" and Bai Juyi's "Twilight River". The two teachers started from the title of the poem, guided the students to understand the poet, familiarize themselves with the whole poem, understand the meaning of the poem, and finally realize the feelings expressed by reading the song, which is skillfully interspersed with Wang Anshi's story of the refinement of the word "green", or additional use of "residual" and "spread" verses to help students appreciate the poet's skillful use of words.

These are the first time I've read a book on the subject, and I'm not sure if I've ever heard of it.

However, during the evaluation, some teachers said that there seems to be a recognized formula for teaching ancient poetry, and even the children are familiar with our formula, which is "to solve the problem of the poem - to know the poet - to understand the meaning of the poem - to understand the poem", "to understand the meaning of the poem - to understand the poem", "to understand the meaning of the poem - to understand the poem".

Looking back at the teaching of ancient poetry in recent years, it is true that the formation of such a fixed pattern, so that students learn to get limited, the teacher to teach and feel uninterested.

In recent years, it is true that there is a fixed pattern, which makes the students' learning limited, and the teacher's teaching is not interesting.

First of all, we should see that a very significant objective fact is that in recent years, the ancient poems are more and more attention, first of all, the national level to strengthen the promotion of traditional Chinese culture, so every traditional festivals on a variety of media to read the classic poems, interpretation and development, and then organized a variety of poetry contests and poems explaining the activities, and then to the establishment of the poetry teaching pilot school, can be said that the teaching of poetry by the recent past, and the teaching of poetry is the most important part of the teaching of the poets, the teaching of the poets is the most important part of the teaching of the poets. It can be said that the teaching of poetry has been given more attention than ever in recent decades. It should be said that China is a country with a tradition of teaching poetry, so why is it that the teaching of poetry has now been raised to such a high level?

I think this may have the following four reasons:

First, over the past hundred years, we have vigorously developed science and technology, neglecting the nourishment of the spiritual world of man, resulting in the prevalence of utilitarianism in society and the decline of humanism, which has brought about anxiety and involution in the whole society, and many people have been reduced to instrumental human beings;

Secondly, the prosperity of science and technology and the fast-developing economy have brought about the development of video games, short videos, and other media, which have led to the emergence of a new era in the world. The second is that the prosperity of science and technology and the rapid development of the economy have brought about the flourishing development of video games, short videos, various types of social software and fast food culture, making the whole society impatient and empty, and no longer able to be quiet and so on "lost souls", many people become hollow people, losing the direction of their lives;

The third is that the rapid development of the economy and the obvious disparity between rich and poor have made people lose the real feeling of friendship and understanding between each other, which has led to the loss of the real feeling between people.

Thirdly, the rapid economic development and the obvious gap between rich and poor have caused a loss of real feeling between people, leading to the distortion of the concept of right and wrong and values of some people, and the loss of truth, goodness and beauty in the whole society;

Fourthly, the blind worship of Western culture in recent decades has led to many young people's lack of understanding of the traditional Chinese culture, which is urgently needed to help the younger generation to establish a full sense of cultural self-confidence.

I think, in such a context, we revive the teaching of poetry to cultivate, purify, enrich and enhance the human mind through the subtle effect of poetry, that is to say, to improve the spiritual quality of human beings through the study of poetry. For children, learning classical poems can also inspire their dreams, develop their imagination and creativity, lead them to aspire and pursue truth, goodness and beauty, and help them shape a perfect personality. So what can we do as elementary school language teachers?

Mr. Zhu Guangqian said, "Poetry is aesthetic education", in this sense, we teach children ancient poetry, we should lead the children to fully appreciate the beauty of ancient poetry, and through the appreciation of this beauty to reach the goal of poetry education, poetry to people.

The beauty of China's ancient poetry is mainly reflected in four aspects: the beauty of sound, the beauty of language, the beauty of sentiment, the beauty of the mood, according to the characteristics of the children of all school years, combined with the unified version of the textbook's objectives, we can do this:

First and second grades: this age group of children are curious, have a strong desire to know, image-based thinking, generally need to be repeated through repeated practice or superimposed training At the same time, this age group is the golden period of children's memory. Teaching ancient poems may seize the characteristics of ancient poems that are catchy, take the beauty of the sound of the poems as the focus of teaching, read aloud, memorize as the main goal of teaching, and lead the students to read out the rhythm through a variety of forms of reading aloud to read the rhythm of the rhyme, but also introduce the new school song created by Ms. Gu Jianfen, to a beautiful melody to stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning. It can also introduce the new school song created by Ms. Gu Jianfen to stimulate the students' enthusiasm for learning, and spread the seeds of classic poems into the children's hearts and minds.

Third and fourth grade: This age group of children is still mainly concrete image thinking, but has slowly begun to establish a sense of autonomy, the things around them to produce a certain desire to explore, coupled with a certain learning foundation, this time the teaching of ancient poetry can be in the memorization, accumulation of words and phrases on the basis of guiding the students to understand the meaning of some of the deeper words and phrases, and thus gradually learn to understand the poet's feelings. The teaching of ancient poems can be based on memorization and accumulation. We can focus on the beauty of the pictures in the poems and use imagination and association as the main teaching tools. By leading the students to observe the illustrations and describe them, they can feel the vivid pictures written by the poets, imagine the pictures through reading aloud and silently, and connect them with their own life realities, so as to connect the poems with the students' lives, and to reduce the study of the ancient poems to the scenes of the poets' creations, so as to really enter into the poems and realize the meaning of the poets' words and expressions. They can experience the feelings or philosophies that the poets want to express and realize the beauty of the poems.

Fifth and sixth grades: students at this stage, after several years of study, have a certain understanding of the language and the ability to appreciate, the teaching of ancient poetry at this time should focus on the beauty of the language and the beauty of the mood of the poems, to association, appreciation as the main means of teaching, to lead the children to walk up a few times back and forth in the poems, to taste the condensation of the language, the cleverness of the word, to appreciate the beauty conveyed between the words; to lead the children to mobilize themselves to the scene, to really understand the feelings or philosophies, to realize the beauty of the poems. The children are led to mobilize their own knowledge reserves and life experience, to put themselves into the times and environment where the poets lived, to naturally enter the mood of the poems, to dig out the rhythms, emotions and connotations hidden in the works, and to enhance the children's ability to appreciate them.

If ancient poetry is a big garden of flowers, then the teacher is the guide of this big garden, leading the children to read aloud and recite, imagine the picture, contact with life, sense of emotion, taste and appreciation, by section, focused on appreciation, will be able to get a sleeve full of flowers, and even linger in the middle of it to forget to come back.
