Overview of Shaolin's One-Finger Zen techniques
There are many different ways of performing the "One Finger Zen with Inner Strength", and the training methods are also strange. Though the training does not emphasize on the stasis and intention, it is particularly strict on the correctness of the posture and the sequence of the movements. It can dredge the meridians, regulating the body's blood and qi, so as to achieve a balance of yin and yang, internal organs and coordination, thus playing a disease prevention and elimination, fitness and longevity, the essence, gas, God, the power of the role of unity. Adhere to the practice of this gong method, the work with time and deep, not only can "outside the gas within the collection", the accumulation of "internal strength", and can "internal gas outside", for the patient to guide the treatment of disease. The "internal energy" of "Inner Strength One Finger Zen" is the energy of human activity, the potential hidden in the human body, and the material basis of life activity. "Zen" is the Sanskrit word for stabilization and cessation of worries. "-Fingers", means that in the process of practicing kung fu, one must add another special and crucial training method, i.e., the exercise of systematic and regular wrenching and pressing of the ten fingers and ten toes. Ten fingers and ten toes, respectively, for the body's twelve meridians of the starting point or the end of the finger wrenching and toes of the press, not only can accumulate "internal energy", regulating the release of "internal energy", but also simple and easy to learn, you can shorten the time of practicing kung fu, so that it receives twice the result with half the effort.
The 18th generation of Shaolin Qigong One Finger Zen practitioner, Master Que A Shui, is from Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. He came from a poor family and was sent to the temple as an ascetic monk at the age of seven. He practiced martial arts with Venerable Du Shunbiao, a martial arts monk of the Shaolin Temple in Fujian Province, and learned the "Inner Strength One-Finger Zen" technique. At that time, the Buddhist precepts were strict, and the secret of the technique was not to be disseminated. All the movements and principles of the technique depended on the teachings of the master and disciples and the memory of the heart, so there were very few people who knew this technique. After the liberation, he was educated by the party and the government, his consciousness was improving, so he opened the door to teach his students and made the long-buried national treasure - "Inner Strength One Finger Zen" Kung Fu available to the world for the benefit of the people, thus being praised by the party and the people.
In 1982, after the death of Mr. Que A-shui, in order to inherit the will of the master, and promote this excellent gong method for the benefit of mankind, Wang Ruiting put it into writing for the use of teaching. Since 1993, after Wang Ruiting publicly declared that "the copyright belongs to the society, and there will be no judgment for reprinting", there have been 32 kinds of domestic and foreign editions (including Japanese, English, and Korean editions). In recent years, Wang Ruiting and his disciple Wang Zejun have created several free teaching platforms for qigong, such as the QQ platform (Wang Ruiting Shaolin Qigong One Finger Zen), the video classroom 51VV, and so on, and continue to carry out in-depth research and summarization of qigong, and the teaching material is still undergoing continuous improvement. Shaolin Qigong One Finger Zen is a unique technique of Shaolin Temple. It has always been taught orally between master and disciple without writing, and it was only after the death of my master, Mr. Que A-shui, in 1982 that I put it into writing for teaching purposes in order to carry on the will of my master and to promote this excellent gong method for the benefit of mankind. However, since 1993, when I publicly declared that "the copyright belongs to the society, and there will be no judgment for reprinting", there have been 32 kinds of editions (including Japanese, English and Korean editions) published at home and abroad. As a result of the reprinting, some editions have added many articles that have not been reviewed by me, and there are many omissions and errors. In recent years, according to the practice of teaching and practicing, I have made some additions and modifications to this gong method, such as the addition of "self-patting gong" and "rapid qi obtaining method", etc., and the hand-drawing of action diagrams is not standardized enough. At present, this gong method teaching material, this kind of non-uniform situation, seriously affects its completeness and accuracy, there is an urgent need to unify the content of the gong method, and strictly regulate the action. For this reason, I have personally revised and compiled this unified and standardized teaching material, in which all the action diagrams are based on my demonstration actions, and handed over to the People's Sports Publishing House for official publication, as the only standard teaching material for the teaching of this gong method at home and abroad.
The official publication of this tutorial has gathered the efforts of many comrades. I would like to extend my sincerest salute to all the comrades who have been working in obscurity, making contributions to the promotion of this gong method.
Wang Ruiting (Note: This is a note from the 1998 reorganization of the textbook.) The "warm-up method" is a set of preparatory movements before the practice of this gong method, which can make staking twice as easy with half the effort. The warm-up method has the generation of heat energy in order to have a heat energy field to promote its own field effect. Everyone practicing kung fu has a body of potential material energy. Therefore, when practicing kung fu, it should be carried out in a regular and sequential manner, in order to reflect the explosive force, in order to have the external gas inward, internal gas outward, it will be able to guide others to cure the disease. Some people say, "Is it all right for me to stand directly on the stump without doing the warm-up method?" In the practice of teaching gong, we have summarized our experience over the years. The warm-up method plays a decisive role in dispelling diseases and in healing. It is only by making the horse stance produce a strong explosive force that can store internal force, promote the operation of qi and blood, and play a role in curing diseases, regulating qi and blood, and massaging the internal organs. So we must not underestimate the warm-up method, otherwise it will delay the rise of the power, affecting the dredging of the internal organs and meridians.

The meridian theory of the motherland medicine believes that the meridian is the pathway for the operation of qi and blood in the human body. Meridian has the meaning of path, is the longitudinal trunk; Luo has the meaning of network, is the meridian of the branch. They are spread throughout the body, connecting the five viscera and six bowels, and reaching the limbs and bones, communicating inside and outside, linking the surface and inside, constituting a complete and unique functional system, so that the body inside and outside of the up and down the unity and coordination in order to maintain the body's normal physiological activities. The Spiritual Pivot - Meridians," said: "the meridians, so the decision of life and death, at the disease, adjusting the real and virtual, can not be blocked". Therefore, there is a "through is not pain, not through is pain" said. Horse stance stump work mechanism, similar to the principle of "external counterpunch", it is through the adjustment and maintain a specific "on the virtual down" posture, in order to increase the return flow of the heart and blood of the upper body of the various departments of the blood flux, is conducive to the establishment of " Lateral circulation" and improve microcirculation, so that the body of the meridian smooth, blood and qi and balance of yin and yang, so as to achieve the prevention and treatment of "people old first from the legs old", to get rid of disease, fitness and longevity of the purpose.

22. To achieve three stable: the start of the stable; staking stable; closing stable.
Requirements: the time of each standing pile should not be less than 30 minutes (beginners can be from short to long time, gradual); posture can be increased with the physical strength from high to low (within a certain range, the lower the posture, the stronger the role of the "external counterattack", "explosive power"). The lower the stance, the stronger the effect of "extracorporeal counterattack" and the greater the "explosive power"). In practice, when we stand on the stump in the horse stance for about 20 minutes, in accordance with the order of "2, 4, 1, 5, 3", regular trigger fingers (while also pressing the corresponding toes as far as possible), there will be a sense of warmth in the body, the hands of the "sense of qi" has also been enhanced; some people also have a feeling of "external counterpunch", the stronger the "explosive force". With the enhancement; some people will also appear with the finger, toe trigger, the body also involuntarily forward and backward micro-movement, or even violent vibration, and feel a heat flow in the body circulation, the flow of endless. Insist on practicing for 3 to 6 months, not only can quickly get rid of diseases, physical strength, but also become quick thinking, energetic, the whole body seems to have endless strength, its power can reach the level of general "internal qi outward" qigong masters.
The order of finger pulling: 1. index finger; 2. ring finger; 3. thumb; 4. little finger; 5. middle finger.
The essentials of finger wrenching: both hands flat, palm down, fingers relaxed and straightened (at this time the toes are also relaxed at the same time), flexion of the index finger metacarpophalangeal joints (interphalangeal joints are straightened), and slowly pressed down on the index finger; stopping for 1 to 1.5 minutes, the index finger is slowly lifted to a slightly higher than the original position and then recovered. After 1 to 2 seconds of stopping, then use this method to trigger the other fingers in turn (Figure 24 to Figure 28). Five fingers are wrenched once for a time, if there is time to continuously wrench 3 or 5 times, and then continue to horse stance stakes for about 5 minutes can be done to close the momentum to close the work, or to do the back of the dynamic work.
Requirements:
1. When wrenching the fingers, the sequence of the fingers should not be reversed;
2. Do not miss the wrench or wrench more;
3. Finger pressure down and lift the speed should be slow, so as not to avoid accidents;
4. wrenching the fingers to be as far as possible at the same time to press the corresponding toes;
5. If you find that there is a phenomenon of dizziness, do not be afraid, do the closing position to rest for a moment. If you have any dizziness, don't be afraid of it, do close the posture and rest for a few moments. Drink some hot tea can disappear. Dynamic power, also known as "internal strength staking work", it is in the horse stance stakes on the basis of the stakes and stakes after the horse stance stakes for exercise stakes potential. It still emphasizes the accuracy of the movement posture, and pay attention to the potential luck, to gas help, to force with gas, so as to achieve "gas and blood and practice", "strength and gas and practice", "table and practice", so that gas, force multiply, promote the whole body meridian smooth, qi and blood harmonization. It focuses on the storage and release of energy, and enhances the function of the hands to "collect the external qi internally" and "release the internal qi externally".

Adjusting yin and yang, practicing qi and practicing power. After practicing for a long time, you will be able to release your luck for the benefit of the people. 1. Guiding the qi
Movement: Take the "big character pile" position at the end of "turning the qi" (Figure 52). The forearm is rotated outward, palm upward, elbow bent, the hand arcs toward the front of the head, the left foot to the right foot, while inhaling; palm downward, through the front of the head to slowly fall, while exhaling, guide the qi to the "chongquan" point (Figure 53, Figure 54), lifting the hand, hand down to repeat three times and then return to the upright position.

The sound of the word "eek" (Figure 55, Figure 56). Immediately after the whole body with force, two feet hard to grasp the ground, back legs stomped up, staring, straight neck, angry hair, the momentum of the mountains, the situation is like a warrior in the practice of assassination in the "leaping into the stab" as, showing a God's might.
Utility: the tiger has shaking hair of the might, each time the practice is completed, shouted "eek"! Not only is there a sense of preeminence, indicating that there is still energy left after practicing - invigorating the spirit. More importantly, it is to make your internal organs shock, so as to avoid gas obstruction, gas plug phenomenon remains in the body, in order to prevent deviation.
